Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a personal position, so the response is relevant to the task. The first body paragraph explains that accepting difficulties may reduce stress and help people focus on other responsibilities; the second links taking action with personal growth, skills and career prospects. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than developed with clear, specific reasoning. The examples about accepting problems and trying new jobs remain general, and the opinion in the fourth paragraph—that facing situations builds confidence and teaches lessons—does not clearly explain when acceptance or action is preferable. Your conclusion favours trying to improve circumstances, but the position could be stated more consistently and supported with a fuller comparison of the two views.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a personal-opinion paragraph and a conclusion. This makes the overall arrangement coherent, and signposts such as “To commence with,” “Moving further” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. For example, “To commence with, there are several advantages associated with it” does not identify the view being discussed, while “Although accept bad situations leads to avoid stress and anxiety” is not smoothly connected to the conclusion’s main claim. Repeated “not only…but also” constructions also make cohesion feel formulaic. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “personal growth,” “confidence,” “skills,” “experience” and “stress and anxiety.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “try better and improve situations,” “create better popportunity” and “improve mistakes”; these do not express the intended idea precisely. There are also spelling errors such as “impriove” and “dicision,” and repeated use of “individuals” and “bad situation” limits variety. Build a more precise set of phrases for accepting circumstances and taking action, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple sentences and more complex forms, including “Although…” and “not only…but also” structures. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in basic sentence patterns occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to interpret. For example, “everyone face many problems” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “not only accept bad situation can help remain patient but also be positive” is not grammatically parallel. In “some individuals try new jobs and taking action,” the verb forms do not match, and “Although accept bad situations leads to avoid stress” has problems with clause structure and verb form. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them using a range of connectors; also check articles, agreement and parallel forms.
