Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many people think that it is good to accept worst situation, such as an unsatisfied job or run through a little amount of money. Others believe that try to improve such situations is better. At the moment we accept a bad situation, we try to solve it or try to make it better. It improves our problem solving skills. On the other hand, if we can improve that kind of situations, we can easily move away from a stressful event. In my opinion we need to decide what we should do according to the situation.

Firstly, if we have a bad event, such as job unsatisfaction or running through a money problem, there may be a high stress out of the mind. At the time we can run away from the problem or we can face to the problem. This kind of situation improve our level of tolerrance and the problem solving skills. As an example, there was a popular businessman named Mr.Smith and his business fell down rapidly due to Covid-19 pandamic. Then he found a new online platform to increase his income and now it develop than in the past.

Furthermore, we need to move away from some situations of our lifes. It may help to direct our life to the entirely different path. If we can't cope with a huge amount of stress, it is better to find another way to do the same thing. As an example, if your higher authorities do not want to increase your salary, you can find a new high rated job with your experience.

In conclusion, face to a bad situation and run away from a bad situation depends. Both of them give good things to our lifes. If we can face to that kind of situation, we can improve our skills and it is very important for our future. On the other hand, if we can improve such situations, we can move away from a stressful situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both accepting a difficult situation and trying to change it, and your final position—that the best response depends on the circumstances—is relevant. The examples of the businessman adapting his business and an employee seeking another job help illustrate the two approaches. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the opening explanation of acceptance is confusing, and the businessman’s story describes adapting to a crisis rather than clearly accepting it. Your opinion is stated, but the conclusion mostly repeats earlier points instead of explaining how to decide which response is appropriate. Develop each view more directly and support your position with a clear reason or decision-making principle.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two approaches, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help signal these sections. However, progression within and between ideas is sometimes unclear or repetitive. For example, the introduction says, “At the moment we accept a bad situation, we try to solve it,” which blurs acceptance and improvement, while the conclusion repeats that both approaches have benefits without bringing the argument together. Some references, such as “that kind of situations,” are also unclear. Make each paragraph’s main point explicit, connect examples directly to it, and use linking phrases to show contrast and cause more precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “stress,” “problem solving skills,” “cope,” and “salary,” and the reader can generally understand your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural expressions make meaning less clear. Examples include “accept worst situation,” “run through a little amount of money,” “job unsatisfaction,” and “high rated job.” Spelling errors such as “tolerrance” and “pandamic” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common collocations for employment and financial difficulty, and check word forms and spelling. More precise phrasing would help you express the contrast between enduring a problem and taking practical steps to change it.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If we can’t cope with a huge amount of stress, it is better to find another way.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “Others believe that try to improve such situations is better” lacks a grammatical subject for “try,” and “This kind of situation improve” has subject–verb disagreement. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence construction, as in “face to a bad situation” and “Both of them give good things to our lifes.” Practise building accurate clauses and checking agreement, articles, and sentence patterns before adding more complex structures.
