Student answer (Band 5.5)
Dealing with the bad situation remains a hot topic of discussion. Some argue accepting a bad situation is good to manage the stress, like an unpleasent work or shortage of funds, others, who has a strong point, believe that try to improve such circumstances is better to find an inner satisfaction.
Accepting a bad situation is good for the health instead of complaining about it. Firstly, this helps to manage the stress. Embracing the reality will help to achieve the peace of mind. Every person is going through some kind of problem. Thinking about the other blessings let you remain happy and enjoy the life. Secondly, this will help to perform well in other areas of life. This will help to perform good in relationship and not become angry on others because of frustration. For instance, many people have not got a chance of choosing a career by their own choice. They will not be able to perform well in their current circumstanes if they keep complaining about the problems.
On the other hand, trying to imporve these sutuations will provide inner gratification. This cannot mean leaving a job for chasing a dream or investing the remainings blindly is a wise decision. Situtions can be changed by taking very small step but with consistency. Most important things is self-actualization. This will help in finding the career aligned with the personal interests. Afterthat, learning about exciting opportunities may results into actually creating an interesting buiness or pursuing a career of interest.
In conclusion, accepting bad situation is important while tring to reshape the situation in our favor will ensures inner gratificaiton.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a position that appears to favour trying to improve difficult circumstances while recognising the value of acceptance. The discussion of acceptance includes relevant points about stress and relationships, and the second view introduces gradual change and personal fulfilment. However, the position is not fully clear in the introduction, where the wording about people “who has a strong point” is difficult to interpret, and the conclusion presents acceptance and change without clearly stating which view you support overall. Some ideas also need fuller explanation: for example, the link between small steps, self-actualisation and finding a suitable career is asserted rather than illustrated. Make your opinion explicit and develop each main point with a clear explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes weakened by repeated or unclear references. “This will help” appears several times, and it is not always clear what “this” refers to. The example about people unable to choose a career is relevant, but its connection to performing well in their current circumstances could be made more explicit. The conclusion also repeats the two positions rather than bringing the argument to a decisive close. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and vary referencing to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “embracing the reality,” “peace of mind,” “inner gratification,” and “personal interests,” which helps express the topic. There are also attempts at more abstract language, such as “self-actualization.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word combinations are noticeable, including “unpleasent,” “imporve,” “sutuations,” and “perform good.” Some expressions are unclear or unnatural, such as “investing the remainings blindly” and “creating an interesting buiness.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for instance, use “perform well,” “remaining savings,” and “start a business” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening and conditional structures such as “if they keep complaining.” Most of the main ideas remain understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical control recur. For example, “Some argue accepting a bad situation is good …, others … believe” joins two independent clauses incorrectly, while “who has” does not agree with the plural “others.” The phrase “trying to improve … will provide” also needs a consistent grammatical structure, and “will ensures” in the conclusion has an incorrect verb form. Articles and sentence boundaries need attention as well. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms during revision.
