Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued by some people that the best way to pass through a bad situation like unsatisfactory job or deficiency of money is to accept. Meanwhile, others argued that the better way is to try and fin out the solutions. However, I believe that the best way is to try and improve such situations.
On the one hand, the supporter of to accept a bad situation believe that these kind of situations are temporary but they leave a bad impact on their mindset. As many people accept these situations as bad and do not try to get improved. Take an example of the South Africa, the people accepted this kind of situtations and didn't try to improve now they are in far away from the world in technology. Thus, this proofs that it's not good to accep such things.
While on the other hand, the supporter of to try and improve such situations believes in themselves. As many people face these situation beacuse ups and downs are the part of life. They try and work hard to get out of it. For instance, China in 1950, takes loans from other countries to run its economy but the people of China worked hard and proved that hard work can style of life. Hence, this also proofs that it's best way to get out of a bad condition to try and get improved.
However, I believe that to work hard and try to improve that situation is the best way. As many of the countries people work hard and pass behind these situations.
To sum up, eventhough that the bad situation are temporary but it does not means that we should accept and don't try to improve.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a clear opinion in the introduction and conclusion: you favour trying to improve a difficult situation. You also discuss both views, so the main parts of the prompt are addressed. However, the discussion of acceptance is confusing: you say people accept situations because they are temporary, then give South Africa as an example of the negative consequences of accepting them, without explaining the connection clearly. The China example supports effort, but the claim that hard work can “style of life” is unclear and the example needs more explanation. Develop each view with a clear reason and a relevant, accurately explained example so your position is supported rather than mainly asserted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “On the one hand,” “While on the other hand,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the South Africa example does not clearly connect to the claim about temporary situations, and the China example’s final point is incomplete. Some transitions are also mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “As” and “Hence.” Use clearer topic sentences, explain how each example proves its point, and make references such as “these situations” unambiguous.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “unsatisfactory job,” “temporary,” “ups and downs,” and “work hard.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “pass through a bad situation,” “fin out the solutions,” and “get improved.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “situtations,” “beacuse,” and “proofs” where “proves” is needed. These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing hardship and change, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “that,” “but,” and “as.” Nevertheless, errors are frequent, and some sentence patterns are faulty enough to obscure meaning. For example, “the best way … is to accept” needs a clear object or a form such as “is to accept it,” while “the supporter of to accept” has an incorrect construction. Agreement and verb forms also need attention: “these kind of situations,” “China … takes loans,” and “this proofs” are not grammatically controlled. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals, and verb forms, then check each sentence for a complete and logically connected structure.
