Student answer (Band 5.5)

Many people argue that the best solution to handle the difficult situation such as, unsatisfactory job or lack of money is to accept this problem but other think that it is not the permanent solution, people should try our best and improve such situations. This essay will discuss both perspectives before explaining my opinion about this.

On the other hand, accepting an unfavourable situation is better option rather than to change it. This is because not every situation is control by people. Accepting a situation can help a person to reduce the stress and anxiety for a short time. For instance, during the crisis of poverty, people may accept their circumstances rather than worrying about it, this help people to focus on present not worry about future. Furthermore, acceptance a cirtical situation may help to give a positive outfit look because of no stress taken about shortage of money and unfavourite job.

Many peole argue that they should fight against bad situation instead of accepting problem. Firstly, If people take action against the financial problem tahn they make better future. Secondaly, they also learn new skills about how to handle and fight against the situation by calmly and patience. For example, if somesome was unhappy by their salary so, it may influence and find better job in which he satisfied by salary or work.

To conclude, although, undoubtedly people should not tolerate bad situations like unsatisfactory job or shortage of money because these situations can affect their mental piece and may stop them to learn new experiences as it is always a good thing for people to be satisfied with their jobs and it keeps them stay motivated. Therefore, I strongly believe that people should try better options which can help them to grow in their personal as well as in professional lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and make your own position clear: the introduction previews both perspectives, and the conclusion argues that people should seek better options. The examples about poverty and finding a better-paid job are relevant to the question. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The acceptance paragraph mainly explains short-term stress reduction, while the improvement paragraph gives only brief reasons about future prospects and learning skills. The conclusion also introduces effects on mental health and motivation without developing them earlier. To strengthen the response, explain when acceptance may be sensible and give fuller, specific support for why taking action can improve a person’s circumstances.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. The reader can follow the broad progression from acceptance to taking action. Some linking is effective, including “For instance” and “Furthermore,” but transitions are occasionally mechanical or confusing: “On the other hand” does not clearly signal the relationship between the introduction and the first view, and “although” in the conclusion is followed by an awkwardly structured sentence. Some references are also unclear, such as “this help people” and “it may influence,” where the referent is not precise. Use simpler, more accurate transitions and make each paragraph’s main point explicit before adding examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “unfavourable situation,” “stress and anxiety,” “financial problem,” and “personal as well as in professional lives.” This gives you enough language to discuss both perspectives, but word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are often inaccurate and sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “positive outfit look,” “mental piece,” “acceptance a cirtical situation,” and “unfavourite job.” There are also misspellings such as “peole,” “tahn,” and “Secondaly.” Build a more reliable set of phrases for discussing hardship and decision-making, and check spelling and collocations carefully so your ideas are expressed precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast in the opening and a conditional example beginning “if people take action.” However, complex structures are often not controlled accurately, and errors sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “not every situation is control by people” has an incorrect verb form, while “this help people” has a subject–verb agreement error. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “accepting an unfavourable situation is better option” and the comma splice in “rather than worrying about it, this help people.” Practise accurate clause construction, agreement, and punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
