Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Opinions are heavily divided across society on the matter of condition justification. While some individuals believe that it is best to acknowledge a worse condition, such as uninterested career or lack of income, others argue that it is best to try and work to overcome such conditions. Therefore, ahead of my opinion, both the views will be discussed further.
Examining the resons, the primary argument the proponents would put forward is that folks sholud cut their daily expences and manage their income to cover all the daily life expendeatures. In other words, people should work hard to gain money either from uninterested career because it can helps the individuals to maintain their life and overcome financial crises. To exemplify, in China, majority of masses work in another field to get income for their daily life necessities and face lack of money at the end of every month.
On the contrary, those in favour of the later opinion have their own arguments. To begin with, they claim that individuals should work to enhance their technical skills to get better position in their career as well as try to get high income to meet their requirements. In addition, by getting better job can minimize the stress and enables the people to perform well in their career and their lifestyle. To illustrate, in Japan, a research carried out by the researchers revealed that a large proportion of folks get better position in their company by learning technical skills and overcome their financial issues.
To conclude and offer my position, there are convincing argument both for and against the improvement and acceptance of condition, I certainly believe that later opinion is superior because everyone should try to get higher position through hard work by learning technical skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for trying to improve one’s circumstances, especially in the conclusion. The second body paragraph gives relevant ways to do this, such as developing technical skills and seeking a better-paid position. However, the discussion of acceptance is less direct: the first paragraph mainly advises people to manage expenses and keep working, rather than explaining why someone might accept an unsatisfactory job or limited income. The examples about China and Japan are broad and do not clearly demonstrate the reasoning. Develop each view with a specific explanation of its benefits or drawbacks, and make your own position explicit earlier as well as in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the contrary,” “To begin with,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from cutting expenses to working in an uninterested career without clearly connecting these ideas to accepting a bad situation. Some linking phrases are also mechanical, and the conclusion repeats the preference for the “later opinion” rather than drawing together the main points. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting detail directly to the paragraph’s central argument; vary transitions and use precise references to avoid repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “financial crises,” “technical skills,” “income,” and “requirements,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “condition justification,” “uninterested career,” “daily life expendeatures,” and “get better position.” Spelling errors, including “resons,” “sholud,” and “expences,” also reduce accuracy. Some expressions, such as “folks” and “masses,” are too informal or imprecise for this essay. Build a more reliable set of natural phrases for employment and finances, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “While” and a relative clause in “a research carried out by the researchers.” However, complex constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “it can helps” has incorrect verb agreement, while “by getting better job can minimize” lacks a clear grammatical subject and article. There are also problems with plural and agreement forms in “there are convincing argument” and “the later opinion.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence construction, especially when using introductory phrases such as “by getting.” Aim for accurate, complete sentences before adding more complex structures.
