Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both positions and state a clear preference in the introduction and conclusion: you argue that people should try to overcome difficult situations. The paragraph supporting acceptance gives relevant points about reducing stress and avoiding risks, while the other paragraph mentions career opportunities, new skills and improved finances. However, these ideas are often asserted rather than explained. For instance, the example about people lacking experience is difficult to follow, and the claim about finding extra income is not developed with a clear explanation or illustration. The discussion therefore addresses the task, but the supporting ideas remain limited and sometimes unclear. To strengthen the response, explain the circumstances in which acceptance may be sensible and develop each main reason with a specific, logical example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable four-part structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some connections are unclear. In the acceptance paragraph, the move from reducing stress to lacking skills and then fearing change is not fully explained. The second body paragraph begins with the awkward transition “Contradicting to the earlier statement that,” which makes the relationship between ideas harder to follow. Repeated references to “these situations” also leave some points vague. Use simpler, accurate transitions and organise each paragraph around one main reason, followed by explanation and an example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “career opportunities,” “sources of income,” “problem solving,” and “quality of their life,” showing an attempt to discuss work and financial circumstances. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Phrases such as “on the burnt of mid light,” “success their carrer,” and “overcome this situations” do not communicate the intended meaning clearly. There are also repeated basic expressions such as “bad situations” and “people should.” Aim for more precise, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe “improving one’s financial circumstances” or “developing transferable skills,” while ensuring that the chosen phrase fits the sentence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast clause beginning “although” and sentences linked with “while” and “Moreover.” However, grammatical errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to interpret. Examples include “people should be try to better solve,” “accepting a bad situation can help people reduced stress,” and “people cannot developed proper skills.” These show problems with verb forms and sentence construction. There are also errors in agreement and articles, as in “other think” and “the difficult situations,” as well as inconsistent capitalisation and punctuation. Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and using the base verb after modal verbs: for example, “people should try” and “can help people reduce stress.” Clearer, shorter sentences will help you control more complex ideas.
