Student answer (Band 5.5)

Fewer people accept the poverty and uncomfortable employment as their destiny and do nothing just wait that things will get better automatically, while other believe on making things better by putting their efforts. In my opinion, it's better to do something rather than doing nothing, although it difficult to get out in bad situations but it's not impossible.

Most of the people in many countires are unhappy with their working environments also they do not have enough money that they can improve their living styles, so people just agree to start living that life without putting any extra effort from their sides. Additionaly, they blame the system for their failure and try not to be improve their life with working hard and setting their goals to become a better person in life. Often these type of people just accept their problems and hardshpis as their destiny without putting any extra effort. For example, millions of people all over the world do not want to leave their jobs current jobs even they are uncomfortable with the working enviroment just due to the fear that they will not be get hired by any other company.

While, other type of poeple become successful in their life by dominating their isuues with their creative thinking and motivate themselve any try to be learn from the failure. Moreover, they just do not sit and accept their fate besides they work more hard and search for possible solutions to get out from difficult situations. Furthermore, these people remain calm in any bad circumstances think positively to overcome the situation. They try to improve their life style and woking enviroment by thinking in a positive way that they will be succeed in one way or in another way. For instance, the success of China is due their people that they put effort and improve their economic conditions which also benefits the country reputation.

In conclusion, Although in some circumstances it's better to be stay quite any accept the fate, but i believe that finding a better way to solve the problem is best rather than just accepting the situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear opinion: “it’s better to do something rather than doing nothing.” The two main body paragraphs also correspond to accepting hardship and trying to improve it, and your examples about staying in an uncomfortable job and China’s economic development are relevant. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The first view is explained mainly through general claims about people blaming the system, while the second relies on broad statements about positive thinking and effort. The China example is not clearly connected to how individuals improve a bad situation. To strengthen the response, explain the reasons behind each view and develop specific examples that directly support your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “For instance” help signal relationships between ideas. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence is difficult to follow, and “While, other type of people” does not form a clear transition or complete contrast. Several ideas in the second body paragraph—remaining calm, thinking positively, and improving one’s lifestyle—are listed without showing how they build on one another. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point explicitly to the paragraph’s main claim. Check that pronouns and references clearly identify the people or situations being discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “destiny,” “working environments,” “failure,” “possible solutions,” and “economic conditions.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “believe on making things better,” “dominating their issues,” and “work more hard”; these expressions do not convey your meaning idiomatically. There are also spelling errors such as “countires,” “hardshpis,” and “enviroment.” Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing hardship and improvement, and proofread spelling. More precise, natural collocations would make your argument clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “although,” “that,” and “which.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles recur. For example, “although it difficult to get out” is missing a verb, while “they will not be get hired” uses an incorrect verb construction. In “other believe,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “it’s better to be stay quite” contains an incorrect infinitive pattern. Some sentences also join several ideas without clear punctuation, making them harder to process. Practise accurate clause construction and verb patterns, then check each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
