Student answer (Band 5.0)

Yes, some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation but some of the people argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. people havedifferent kind of mind set and persanality.

In my opinion, some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation which is right in a way because the thing which already happened we cannot change it or paused it. we have to just forget about the thing which already happened which helps to heal people life. People mind and heart connected in some way because it is to hard to forget bad situstion it needs time but people have mentality that acceptance is the best way . They cannot do anything so acceptains is the best key to accept a bad situstion.

On other hand, some people try to improve argue that a situstions can be better because they never giveup on the thing which they already started, if it is unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. always try to improve think positive and try to fix it until the end. for example: i worked in new place with new environment with zero knowledge of work, If i did mistake and said i cannot do instead we need to be kind of people who think that it,s my first time i can do it try again and again until you were perfect in it.

In conclusion, both point of view is best in own side because some people need to nbelieve that it is best to accept a bad situstion we donnot know thats going on infuture. Donot take presure which already happend. It doesnot mean that every people have same mind set some people argue that it is better to try and improve such situation because solving problem will also benefit, never giveup on anything. if people try it will be sucessfull oneday.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and give a personal opinion, so the response addresses the main parts of the task. The paragraph about acceptance explains that past events cannot be changed and that acceptance may help people heal; the opposing view is illustrated through your example of learning a new job. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the job example focuses on persistence but does not clearly explain how this improves an unsatisfactory job or a shortage of money. Your conclusion says both views are valid, but your own position remains unclear because it does not specify when acceptance or action is preferable. Develop each view with a clearer explanation and make your final opinion consistent and explicit. The response meets the required length; 53 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through the discussion, and phrases such as “On other hand” signal a contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long, loosely connected sentences. For example, the acceptance paragraph moves from past events to healing and then to acceptance as a “key” without clearly separating the points. Linking phrases are also repetitive or awkward, and the conclusion combines both positions in a way that weakens the overall argument. Use clearer topic sentences, divide explanations into shorter units, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “accept a bad situation,” “improve,” “unsatisfactory job,” and “shortage of money.” The example about starting work in a new environment also gives you a chance to use topic-related language. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “accept,” “try,” and “situation.” Frequent spelling errors, such as “situstion,” “acceptains,” and “sucessfull,” make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your vocabulary. Some expressions are also unnatural, including “people have mentality” and “best key.” Build a wider set of precise phrases for discussing coping, persistence, and practical change, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because” and “if,” and the reader can generally identify your main meaning. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow. For instance, “the thing which already happened we cannot change it” has an unclear clause structure, while “if people try it will be sucessfull oneday” needs clearer punctuation and a more accurate sentence pattern. There are also recurring problems with capitalization, sentence boundaries, agreement, and verb forms, as in “both point of view is best.” These errors sometimes make the relationships between ideas unclear. Practise accurate sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and punctuation.
