Student answer (Band 4.5)

In recent years, the issue of best to accept a bad situation has sparked considerable debate. Some people believe that an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money is best to accept the situation, others firmly argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Although both perspectives have certain merits. This esaay will argue that it is better to try and improve such situations because working something is better than regretting.

One the one hand, there are several key factors contributing to the issue. Many people think that it is best to accept a bad situation rather than doing something. The primary justification is that leaking of confidence. However, Nowadayes young people are not that much of confidence about their life as a result they stop trying to do and afraid about do again. For example, when a student fail in any exam they loss their confident by doing some students accect their situation and stopped trying as frequently as before. Another compelling reason is leaking of parential supports. Furthermore, many parents are not supportive as a result they faced difficulties while doing a any special things. For instance, if their children failed they never influenced to do again and motivating them is it best to accept a bad situation.

On the other hand, a growing number of people argue that it is better to try and improve such situations beacuse hard work is the key of success. In my perspective, I largly believe this to do something is better than accept the bad situation. For example, individuals people hard work can pull them to open any door. Another important reason is helping governments to reduce poverty. Furthermore, a small action may significantly change any bad situation.

In conclusion, some people believe that an unsatisfactory jobor shortage of money best to accept a bad situation. Others largly argue that it is better to try and improve such situations and I support that view. In my point of view hardwork can solve any problem. Another substaintially and significant things for improvement is support. Moreover, hardwork is better than regretting additinally this is the key of succsess.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a relevant opinion: “it is better to try and improve such situations,” and the conclusion repeats your support for this view. You also attempt to discuss both perspectives, using confidence and parental support to explain why some people may accept difficulties, and hard work to support trying to improve them. However, the discussion is only partial: the first side is not clearly connected to accepting an unsatisfactory job or having little money, and the second side relies on broad claims such as “hard work is the key of success” without explaining how it changes these situations. The position is also briefly unclear in the opening, where the sentence beginning “Although both perspectives” is incomplete. Develop each view with a specific, relevant explanation and example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its general structure. You also use signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the example about a student failing an exam is unclear, and the point about parental support does not lead clearly to the claim that accepting a bad situation is best. Connect each main idea to its explanation and example in a clear sequence. Some linking phrases, including repeated “Furthermore” and “Another,” feel mechanical, while unclear references such as “this” make relationships between ideas harder to track.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “unsatisfactory job,” “shortage of money,” “confidence,” “poverty,” and “support.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic language. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make meaning less clear, such as “leaking of confidence,” “parential supports,” “largly,” and “substaintially.” Some collocations are also unnatural: “working something” and “hard work is the key of success” do not express your intended meaning idiomatically. Aim to learn useful word partnerships and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary for financial hardship, persistence, and practical improvement would help you explain both sides more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You try to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “when,” and “if.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to understand. For example, “Although both perspectives have certain merits” is a fragment, while “One the one hand” and “when a student fail” show problems with sentence form and subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “For example, when a student…” is especially difficult to follow because its clauses are not joined clearly. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and punctuation. Practise writing complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement and sentence boundaries.
