Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is countless ups and downs happens in our life that makes us to think from the different perspective. Some individuals accept that bad situation and decided to go with the flow, either its their unsatisfactory job or their scarcity of money, while others believe that it is better to learn from that situation and try to foster your situations. Both views have the solid foundation in their argument, whereas I firmly believe that learning from your bad decisions or your worse situations and try to improve yourself with solid new plans that enhace their current situation.

On the one hand, bad situation happend to anyone that consider some people on their believe they just have to feel comfortable in their doings. For example, if their jobs has not related to their field but they are working their just because of some sort of money that gives them a kick to keep going with accepting the bad. Furthermore, some individuals has become so addicted to their job and they didn't worry about their low income. So, they are accepting the fact of doing worse just because they feel mentally secure.

On the other hand, when we talk about the improving situation, mostly people have had their mindset of taking a risk in their lives adapt the ability of improving themselves either its just a simple one step or a big one. These are the people who learn from their mistakes and decided to gain the opportunities through improving. For example, a person who believe in himselve not thinking about the bad situation could affect him, they just try and improve it by any means. They will not let the weakness over their situation.

In conclusion, accepting the bad situation and learn from it in spite of growing further more is the best decision i believe rather than going with the flow and worsen your mental ability.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both perspectives and state a preference for improving difficult circumstances, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The examples about staying in a job for income or security and taking risks to improve one’s situation are relevant. However, the position is not consistently clear: the introduction says people should learn from bad decisions and improve, while the conclusion’s phrase “accepting the bad situation and learn from it” leaves your recommendation ambiguous. Several points are also asserted rather than explained—for instance, the claim that people become “addicted” to a job is not developed. State your view directly and explain the benefits or drawbacks of each approach more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal this progression. However, connections within paragraphs are sometimes unclear or mechanical. The opening sentence of the first body paragraph, “bad situation happend to anyone that consider some people on their believe,” does not clearly establish how the example supports acceptance. Some references, such as “they” and “it,” are also difficult to follow. Build each paragraph around one clear point, then connect the explanation and example explicitly; this would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “unsatisfactory job,” “scarcity of money,” “mentally secure,” and “improving themselves.” These choices show an effort to express more than basic ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “foster your situations” is not a natural way to describe improving circumstances, and “gives them a kick” is informal and unclear in this context. Spelling errors such as “happend,” “enhace,” and “selve” also reduce accuracy. Prefer precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “if,” and “when.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “There is countless ups and downs happens” and “if their jobs has not related to their field.” The sentence beginning “For example, a person who believe in himselve” also lacks a clear grammatical connection to its main idea. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete clauses before adding extra detail. More reliable sentence control would make your ideas clearer.
