Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, some people in society believe that it is best for us to accept the bad situations in life, like unsatisfactory about the job or shortage of money. on the other hand, there are also believes that, it is better to try to improve things or situation in life. However in this essay, I will discuss both the point of views, and give conclusion at the last.
Regarding the bad situations, some research argues that it is better to accept the bad situation because when people accept the unsatisfactory situaion it will help people to analyze it, and know that where he or she has done something wrong. For instance, when people are struggling in their life after shortage of money or about their career then they need to accept the situation.
Whille other argue that, it is better to try to improve the situation rather than just accept the bad situation, because it helps to understand that what they need to do or what action needs to perfrom, because some resercher believe that every danger comes with an opportunity, but it depends on the midset of people either he or she has pessimistic or optimistic.
At the last, I conclude that people need to improve the difficult situation in life rather than only acceptance, because there is famous quote " An optimistic sees every danger as an opportunity while pessimistic sees every opportunity as an danger" so from this quote, I strongly believe that people needs to become opptimistic and improve the situation when faced the difficulty in life

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a clear preference for improving difficult circumstances, especially in the conclusion: “people need to improve the difficult situation in life rather than only acceptance.” However, the discussion of accepting a bad situation is not fully explained. The example about financial or career struggles mainly repeats the situation and does not show how acceptance helps someone analyse it or what they might learn. The argument for improvement is also general: the point about optimism and opportunity is relevant, but it needs a specific example and clearer explanation. The introduction promises a conclusion rather than previewing your position. Develop each view with a reason and a concrete illustration, and make your opinion clear from the beginning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a concluding paragraph. This makes the main direction easy to follow, and transitions such as “On the other hand” and “At the last” signal changes in the discussion. However, some linking is mechanical or awkward, and the progression within paragraphs is limited. For example, the first body paragraph moves from a claim about acceptance to an example without clearly explaining the connection. The final paragraph repeats the improvement argument rather than drawing together the two views. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to its supporting point; also use pronouns and references carefully so readers can identify who “they” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “unsatisfactory,” “shortage of money,” “pessimistic,” and “optimistic.” These choices help communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, which makes parts of the argument harder to understand. Examples include “unsatisfactory about the job,” “every danger comes with an opportunity,” and “improve things or situation.” Spelling errors such as “situaion,” “resercher,” and “opptimistic” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated references to “bad situation” with suitable alternatives would also make the discussion more varied and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “when,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence structure and agreement appear in examples such as “there are also believes” and “people needs to become opptimistic.” Some clauses are difficult to follow, as in “it depends on the midset of people either he or she has pessimistic or optimistic.” Punctuation and capitalisation also need attention: “on the other hand” begins a sentence with a lowercase letter, and several commas interrupt the sentence flow. Practise building clear sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during proofreading.
