Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, some people says that you can accept the unsatisfactory job or shortage of money, while other sugggests that struggles to try and improve such situation. It is widely believed that this issue has become increasingly significant in all moderen socirties. Some people believe that you can accept the bad situation such as the job you do not like or shortage of money, while other argues that you can try to enhance such situation. This essay will dicuss both opinions before giving my own opinion.
Some people believe that, you can accept a bad situation, such as a unsatisfactory job or less income. They argue this because you reamins happy with the current situation of life and do not chase things which puts more pressure or stress on your life. For example, a school teacher which has less income compared to the businessman remained more happy. It is mainly because they take less tension than entrepreneurs.
Others, however, claim that you can try to enhance such situations. In their view, it is necessay for the better life in future. For instance, the individuals who take risks for job promotion and gains more income are better. Therefore, they believe that you can struggle to becomes more better day by day.
In conclusion, while some people believe that you accept the unsatisfactory job or shortage of money, other argues that you can try to become more better and struggle to achieve a good job or higher incomes. Overall, I am of the opinion that you can try to improve such situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and gives a clear personal preference in the introduction and conclusion: you favour trying to improve difficult circumstances. The two body paragraphs also present relevant reasons, such as avoiding stress by accepting a situation and seeking promotion for a better future. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The teacher/businessman comparison is asserted rather than explained, and the argument for improvement relies mainly on the general claim that risk-taking leads to higher income. The conclusion repeats the views but adds little to the reasoning. To strengthen the response, explain the conditions under which each view may be sensible and support each point with a more specific example or consequence; this would make the discussion more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “Others, however” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the shift between positions, and the main ideas are generally placed in relevant paragraphs. Some cohesion is mechanical, though, and the introduction repeats the prompt’s contrast several times before the essay begins its discussion. References such as “this issue” and “such situations” are broad, while the links between claims and examples are sometimes abrupt. For example, the teacher/businessman comparison does not clearly show how it supports the point about accepting a bad situation. Reduce repetition and use clearer links that explain how each example supports its paragraph’s main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate its main points, including “unsatisfactory job,” “shortage of money,” “promotion,” “income,” and “pressure or stress.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “in their view” and “increasingly significant.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors are noticeable: “struggles to try,” “less tension,” “more better,” and “higher incomes” are awkward or inaccurate in context. Misspellings such as “moderen,” “socirties,” and “necessay” also reduce control. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing financial hardship, job satisfaction, and career advancement, and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay attempts both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “a school teacher which has less income” and a subordinate clause beginning “It is mainly because.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but grammatical errors occur frequently and sometimes make sentences difficult to interpret. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “some people says” and “other argues,” the incorrect verb form in “you reamins happy,” and the construction “you can struggle to becomes.” Articles and sentence punctuation also need attention, as in “a unsatisfactory job” and the comma after “believe that” in “Some people believe that, you can accept.” Practise accurate agreement, verb patterns after modal verbs, and article use, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
