Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some individuals believe that it is best to cooperate with a bad situation due to shortage of money and having a jobs against your interest but others argue that we should atleast tried to cope up with such difficult situation. Doing nothing in bad situation shows that you have no better plan to execute so your confidence level also drops and in future you are not able to handle such confusing time that is very unpredictable.

To begin with, bad situation that held in your life and you are not able to do anything about that when a person meet with other people he comes to know the reality of the world that everything was not just present here as he thought previously in his mind. He do certain things that are no relevent of his course but he not have another choice so he give his full attention to his work but that does not mean that he stopped to improve. However bad time lasts for only short period after that we achieved our desired role. Those who working in any place that is against their interest and they are also not trying to search new oppurtunities they are just like dead bodies.

Furthermore, those who trying their best to cope up with difficult situations and are not rewarded yet they are not able to worry because at one day they obviously shock others with their brilliant efforts. For instance, Japan which was attacked by nuclear weapons and America destroyed all its economy in a single blast but with the time they evolved and at present they are one of the developed countries in the world so those who keep trying and continuously walking they reached at some stage.

In conclusion, try again and find the ways to overcome difficulties is the first step toward success so if we are present at such unsatisfactory place then we should build our motivation by reading such reallife examples and tried to build our dream world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, especially in the conclusion, where you say people should “find the ways to overcome difficulties.” You also include relevant examples, such as people remaining in jobs they dislike and Japan’s recovery. However, the discussion of accepting a bad situation is not clearly explained as a valid viewpoint; the opening instead shifts quickly to the consequences of “doing nothing.” Your own position is also not consistently stated until the end, and several claims—such as bad times lasting only a short period—are asserted without support. Explain why someone might accept a situation temporarily, then compare that view with active efforts to change it and develop your opinion with more precise reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the essay. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph moves between adapting to circumstances, doing work unrelated to one’s course, and searching for opportunities without clearly connecting these points. Some links are also unclear: “However bad time lasts for only short period” does not clearly contrast with the preceding idea. The Japan example is relevant to perseverance, but its connection to the argument could be made more explicit. Organise each paragraph around one viewpoint, use clearer references, and explain how each example supports the point being made.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “unsatisfactory,” “difficult situations,” “opportunities” and “motivation,” and the reader can generally understand your main message. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “cooperate with a bad situation” and “cope up with” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “dead bodies” is also an unsuitable description of people who do not seek new work. There are noticeable spelling errors, including “relevent,” “oppurtunities” and “reallife.” Build a more precise set of phrases for accepting, enduring and improving circumstances, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “when,” “that” and “because,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently. For example, “when a person meet” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “He do certain things” and “he not have another choice” show problems with verb forms and auxiliary use. Tense and sentence construction are also inconsistent in “after that we achieved our desired role” and “those who trying their best.” These errors can make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise accurate present and past forms, agreement, and complete clause structures; then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
