Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that accepting the current situation without taking an action is the best approach of living a happy life while others believe in hardwork and improving their situation instead of acceptance. I believe in trying to change the situation by taking necessary actions.
On the one hand, accept the situation as it is may reduce stress, because some situation are difficult to change, so acceptance is the best way. For instance, a person stays in a job where more office politics happens because he needs a stable income. He would not take a risk because he is the only breadwinner of his family.
On the other hand, taking an action for creating better opportunities instead of losing hope. Taking risk is the key factor of improving situations. Although taking risk can be challenging and requires alot of planning. Risks can be reduced when the person follows the important steps. People can learn new skills to upgrade themselves in market. For example, a person who want to increase his income so, he can learn Artifical Intelligence to upgrade himself while continuing their current job. This allows him to generate a second source of income or upgrade his current designation on the basis of their current skill.
In conclusion, althought accepting difficult circumstance can be sometimes necessary, I believe people should try to take an action before losing hope. Everything will be changed if the person want to change it. Situations should be changed when the person can take risk and necessary action for getting better life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both perspectives and state your own view clearly: the introduction supports taking action, while the conclusion acknowledges that acceptance can sometimes be necessary. The examples—a sole breadwinner staying in a politically difficult job and someone learning AI skills to improve their prospects—are relevant and help explain the two positions. However, the acceptance argument is developed more briefly than the case for change, and the discussion of risk would benefit from clearer explanation of when taking action is realistic or preferable. The final claims that “Everything will be changed” if someone wants change are too absolute and are not supported by the examples. Develop each side more evenly and qualify broad claims to make the response more fully reasoned.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. Within paragraphs, however, some links between ideas are abrupt or unclear. For example, “Taking an action for creating better opportunities instead of losing hope” is a fragment-like opening, and the move from learning skills to generating income or gaining a new designation needs a clearer explanation. References such as “he,” “their,” and “the person” also shift, making it less clear who is being discussed. Use complete topic sentences and consistent references, and connect examples explicitly to the point they illustrate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “stable income,” “breadwinner,” “taking risk,” and “second source of income,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “office politics” and “upgrade.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive: “hardwork,” “alot,” “Artifical Intelligence,” “accept the current situation,” and “take an action” need more natural forms. “Upgrade themselves in market” and “current designation” are also unclear in context. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the argument, but they limit precision. Build a bank of natural collocations for employment, financial difficulty, and career development, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a concession beginning “Although taking risk can be challenging.” Most of the intended meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “accept the situation as it is may reduce stress” (use a gerund subject), “some situation are” (plural agreement), and “a person who want” (subject–verb agreement). The sentence beginning “On the other hand, taking an action…” lacks a finite verb, while “so, he can learn” has awkward clause punctuation. There are also inconsistent pronouns in “he” and “their.” Practise complete sentence patterns, agreement, articles, and punctuation around subordinate clauses; this will make your varied structures more controlled.
