Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some individuals aruge that accepting your bad fate such as having a job that you don't like or lack of money is a better option while other believe that a person should work to resolve such issues. Although accepting your fate means you should not take risk to improve it beacuae situation can gets worst, improving bad situation can lead to better life. In my opinon a person should always try to improve the bad situation he is facing.

On one hand a group of people believe that a person should quietly accept whatever situation he is facing because if u take risk dealing with it, it can lead you to more disaster. Moroever, a person should accept such situations it will help to improve patience and makes person humble.

For instance, people who face difficult situation and remain patience makes progress in their life. Hence a person shoul accept the bad situation.

On the other hand some people also suggest that working hard and trying to improve such situations will have positive effect on different aspects of life. In addition, making improvement in such situations will build confidence and also it will have poitive impact on a persons mental wellbeing. For example, a person who has better financial situation usually soend more tiem with friends and travel with his family as wel which helps him improve his mental condition. Hence trying to improve your bad condition can help improve mental wellbeing.

In conclusion , both sides of people have their reasons to support their arguments such as peope should accept their bad situtaions further trying can make it worse. On the other hand people suppourt to improve their condition because it will make their life easier.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state your own position clearly in the introduction: you argue that people should try to improve difficult circumstances. The response also gives relevant reasons, including the risk that change could make matters worse, and the possible benefits of improved finances for wellbeing. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The point that accepting hardship builds patience and humility is asserted, but the example that follows does not clearly show how patience leads to progress. The opposing view receives more concrete support through the example about spending time with family and travelling, though this link could be explained more fully. The conclusion repeats both positions but does not clearly restate your own judgement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear or repetitive. In the first body paragraph, the claim about patience is followed by “people who face difficult situation and remain patience makes progress,” without explaining the connection. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than bringing them together into a clear final position. Some linking phrases, including “Hence,” are used mechanically, and references such as “it” and “such situations” can be vague. Develop each reason in a clearer sequence and use links that show the precise relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, with relevant expressions such as “take risk,” “build confidence,” and “mental wellbeing.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “bad situation,” “improve,” and “person.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “aruge,” “beacuae,” “Moroever,” and “poitive,” which reduce accuracy and can interrupt reading. Some combinations are unnatural or imprecise: “accepting your bad fate” is less suitable than a neutral phrase about accepting difficult circumstances, while “more disaster” does not express the intended meaning naturally. Aim for more precise paraphrasing and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrastive opening with “while” and a conditional clause beginning “if.” However, the range is limited, and complex structures are often faulty. For example, “if you take risk dealing with it, it can lead you to more disaster” has problems with article use and sentence construction, while “a person who face difficult situation … makes progress” has subject–verb agreement and singular/plural errors. Other examples include “situation can gets worst” and “it will help to improve patience and makes person humble,” where verb forms and agreement are inconsistent. Punctuation is also uneven, as in “In conclusion ,”. Practise accurate agreement, articles, and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
