Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state a preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The point about health is difficult to follow: you suggest that facing difficulties causes illness, but do not explain how accepting a bad job or financial hardship would protect someone. The reference to faith and humility is also not clearly connected to accepting a situation. In the second view, confidence and developing potential are relevant, but the examples remain general. Your opinion appears in the introduction and conclusion, though the conclusion’s wording makes the recommendation unclear. Explain each reason with a direct link to the examples in the prompt and maintain a precise position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “One major reason,” “Despite these reasons,” and “In conclusion” help readers identify the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are unclear. For example, the move from health problems to losing money, then to belief in the Almighty, does not establish a clear line of reasoning. The second body paragraph repeats the idea of confidence and uses “Firstly” and “Secondly” without fully developing either point. Some sentence fragments, including “Which is very harmful for people,” also interrupt the flow. Build each paragraph around one clear claim, followed by explanation and a relevant example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “difficult situations,” “confidence,” “potential,” and “current moment,” and you attempt phrases such as “push themselves” and “enhance.” However, the range is limited and several choices or combinations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “brain storks,” “faith on almighty,” “justify their potential,” and “the best of way surviving moment.” Repetition of “people,” “believe,” and “achieve” also limits variety. Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than more complicated wording: for instance, describe people as “developing their abilities” or “improving their circumstances.” Check spelling and word forms carefully, and use topic-specific terms such as “financial hardship” and “job satisfaction.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a few complex structures, including “Although accept bad moments have several benefits” and sentences beginning with “When people…,” but control is inconsistent. Frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation can make the argument hard to follow. For example, “One major reason is that mental and physical health” is incomplete, while “when people face difficulty they addicted” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. “After believe almighty they may get better jobs of lifestyles” also shows problems with verb form and sentence construction. Capitalisation after full stops is inconsistent, and “Which is very harmful for people” is a fragment. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses and conjunctions.
