Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are two ways to define a bad sisuations :

(Acceptance)

some people think that we should accept the bad situations like to accept the shortage of money and to accept the unsatisfactoryjobs . On hand some like to improve that situations.

I think some time it is better to accpet the difficulties because if we acceot the bad situations we can know that how we are accepting our patience level from hard and through stuations we can fell the situations ofpoor in our society how they are facing difficulties in their daily life.

(Improvement of bad situations)

on the other hand tery to improve the bad situations is the key of success becuase i think tha if we try to improve our bad situations is the improvement of our future . the contiuous efforts not only resolve financial and carrerier challenges but also foster to lead more rewarding life .

(My Opinion)

the conclusion is that the accepting can bring brief peace, taking good steps leads to a long -terms success and personal growth. On the other side to improve the situations also good because for improving that situations there must need of hard work continuously and stay humdle in all situations . so , in both situations thee is always a lesson for us and from both situations we should learn something but in both situations we should stay humble.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and give an opinion: you explain that accepting hardship may build patience and awareness of poorer people’s difficulties, while trying to improve circumstances can support future success. However, these ideas are brief and not fully explained, and your position is not entirely consistent: you initially favour acceptance in some cases, but the conclusion says improvement leads to long-term success without clearly resolving which approach you prefer. The response also does not meet the required minimum of 250 words, so there is limited space to develop the discussion. To strengthen the response, explain each view with a specific example and state your own position clearly throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The headings “Acceptance,” “Improvement of bad situations,” and “My Opinion” make the main sections easy to identify, and phrases such as “On the other hand” signal a contrast. However, the response has only some overall progression: the opinion appears in the first section and is repeated in a conclusion that does not clearly connect the two views. Linking is also repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “situations” and “both situations,” while some connections between ideas are unclear. For example, the link between accepting hardship and understanding poor people’s lives needs fuller explanation. Organise the essay into a clear introduction, one developed paragraph for each view, and a conclusion, using references and transitions that show how each point relates to the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “shortage of money,” “continuous efforts,” “financial challenges,” and “personal growth.” These choices help communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “accepting our patience level,” “foster to lead more rewarding life,” and “stay humble in all situations.” Spelling errors such as “sisuations,” “accep[t],” and “contiuous” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing hardship and change, and check spelling and collocations carefully. For instance, explain that hardship can “test our patience” rather than saying it shows “our patience level.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the contrast in “not only resolve financial and career challenges but also…” and conditional structures beginning with “if.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence construction and punctuation can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “if we try to improve our bad situations is the improvement of our future” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “there must need of hard work” is not correctly formed. Capitalisation and spacing around punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building complete clauses with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Short, accurate sentences will help you express your ideas before you add more complex structures.
