IELTS Writing Task 2 question
Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, this become a crucial point view of some to continue bad job or less salary rather than to do some best and gain success.
On the one hand, some people doing same unstaisfactory job because the lack of jobs. these people have poor family backgrounds so they dont want to leave it.These are the type of those people who have the shortage of money for even basic needs of life.they have no other resouce of income. For Example, if a middle class person leave job for better opportunity they cant have surity for best one and even they can face the issue of food crisis, education problems and others etc.
On the other hand, mostly people think that its better to find some strong opportunity for future which can be helpful for better opportunities like better environment, education, medical allowances and home equipments etc. this can impact on her whole life rather than facing shortage of each life facilty. For Example, if one person find crisis and he finds best opportunity his life can become easy and he can live better with own family.
From my Prespective, it will be better for person who have no better opportunity they should continue our prewsnt job and then try for best opportunites. if they find according to his needs then he should move for this and leave last one when they gain better than last one.
In conclusion, person who dont get job accoridng to their need he should continue less money and unsisfactory jobs rather than nothing. But if he can manange daily base expense he should go for best one.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a personal position: the first body paragraph explains why people may stay in an unsatisfactory job, while the second presents the benefits of seeking better opportunities. Your view is that people should keep their current job until a better option is secured, which is relevant and practical. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The reasons for staying are mainly listed, and the examples about food, education and medical benefits are not explained in much detail. Your position also shifts slightly: the conclusion says people should seek a better job if they can manage daily expenses, while the main opinion focuses on moving only after finding a secure alternative. State this distinction clearly and develop each view with a specific, explained example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a paragraph giving your opinion, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear explanation. For example, the first body paragraph moves from lack of jobs to family background and then to food and education concerns. Some linking and reference are also unclear, as in “this can impact on her whole life” and “they should continue our present job.” Use clearer topic sentences, connect each supporting point explicitly to the paragraph’s main idea, and check that pronouns consistently refer to the intended person.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to employment and living conditions, including “shortage of money,” “basic needs,” “opportunity,” and “food crisis.” This gives the reader a general understanding of your ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “strong opportunity,” “home equipments,” and “shortage of each life facility.” Spelling errors, including “unstaisfactory,” “resouce,” and “opportunites,” also make the writing less clear and reduce the accuracy of your vocabulary. Aim to use precise, natural phrases for employment and financial security, and proofread spelling and word forms. Repeating “better opportunity” can also be avoided by using suitable alternatives such as “more secure employment” or “improved prospects.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if one person find crisis and he finds best opportunity.” This shows an effort to express cause, contrast and possible outcomes. However, errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “this become” instead of “this has become,” “some people doing” instead of “some people do,” and “they cant have surity” where the verb form and sentence construction are faulty. Subject–verb agreement and pronoun consistency also need attention, as in “a middle class person leave” and “he should continue our present job.” Practise accurate present-tense forms, articles, agreement and conditional sentences, and use full stops to separate ideas that are currently run together.
