Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Unsatisfaction in the job or shortage of money are some temporary contraints of life, although both of them are important factors on the basis of our daily life needs and wants. But sometimes it's better to have patience and hope for a better future and better opportunities. Despite of blockage from one door, many more doors of success and hope opens. Whereas some people argue and lose control over their emotions when they feel any uncertainty. I believe that having patience, staying calm in the sensitive moments and wishing for the best is far more better than blaming all life choices and regretting each one of them.
Firstly everyone works hard to acheive a better lifestyle and a better income to handle the daily expenses, sometimes any individual may be responsible for handeling all the expenditures of his/her family. This somehow creates a tension and stress if no backup money is saved for hard times. But having a strong will and staying calm is believed to be the best reaction on any troublesome situation, because it displays the qualities of a well-mannered, responsible, calm and peacemaking attributes because this saves a lot of energy, saves relationships between colleagues, family, friends and other relatives.
Whereas having argument over what could be best and what could be avoided after it has happened is straight foolishness. It displays the low confidence of a person about his actions and a weak leading skills. Regretting and overthinking the past is the biggest mistake any person can make. Because it'll indeed only create more stress, problems and distractions from the main goal.
So I believe that the best practice is to stay calm and well-wisher through any unsatisfaction and shortage of money, because these are some temporary gains which could be later aquired, but arguing and regretting of what could be the best and how could be it improved would only invite other unnecessary problems which decrease respect, energy and time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
Your position is clear: you favour remaining calm and accepting difficulties rather than dwelling on past choices. You also refer to financial pressure and work-related dissatisfaction, so the response is connected to the topic. However, the task asks you to discuss both accepting a bad situation and trying to improve it. The essay mainly argues against regretting or arguing, which is not the same as explaining why someone might actively improve their job or finances. The opposing view is therefore not properly presented, and your own view is supported mostly by general claims about patience and stress rather than specific reasoning or examples. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and drawbacks of both approaches, then show why your preferred approach is better.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, two body paragraphs and a concluding statement. The final paragraph restates your preference, and connectors such as “Firstly,” “Whereas” and “So” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is limited because the paragraphs repeat the same point about staying calm and avoiding regret, rather than developing distinct sides of the debate. “Whereas” introduces a contrast, but the opposing view is not clearly explained, and the opening moves between patience, hope and emotional reactions without a clear sequence. Some sentences also contain several ideas joined together, making the argument harder to follow. Give each body paragraph a clear purpose and use linking phrases to show how each reason supports that paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “daily expenses,” “backup money,” “uncertainty,” “overthinking” and “temporary.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond very basic language, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “temporary gains” for difficulties, “well-wisher through any unsatisfaction,” and “weak leading skills.” There are also spelling errors, including “contraints,” “acheive,” “handeling” and “aquired.” These issues make some phrases difficult to interpret and limit precision. Build a bank of natural expressions for discussing acceptance and improvement, and check spelling and collocations carefully; for example, use “financial hardship” and “seek better employment” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “although,” “because” and “if.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main message can usually be understood. However, control is uneven. For example, “Despite of blockage from one door” has an incorrect preposition pattern, while “many more doors … opens” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening sentence also lacks a clear grammatical connection between its two parts, and “Because it’ll indeed only create more stress” is a fragment. Articles, agreement and sentence boundaries need more consistent attention. Practise building complete sentences around one main idea, then check that subjects and verbs agree and that dependent clauses are attached to a main clause.
