Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear opinion that people should try to improve difficult circumstances, especially in “we should try to improve in bed situation” and the conclusion’s focus on goals. You also refer to both accepting a bad situation and attempting to improve it. However, the discussion is minimal: the first view is not explained clearly, and the suggestion of starting a small business is not developed or linked convincingly to accepting an unsatisfactory situation. Most claims, such as effort changing a person’s life, lack reasons or examples. The response is also 24 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to address both views. Develop each side with a reason and a specific example, then explain why your preferred approach is better.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic overall direction: you introduce contrasting views, state your opinion, and finish with a conclusion. Phrases such as “on the other side” and “In my opinion” help signal these moves. However, the response is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the stages of the argument are not clearly separated. Ideas also repeat—for example, that people should improve a bad situation and not lose hope—without building a clear sequence of reasons. Some links between points are difficult to follow, particularly the shift from starting a business to being unable to work for others. Use separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and the conclusion, and connect each claim to an explanation or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words and phrases, including “unsatisfactory job,” “shortage of money,” “future,” and “goal.” These show awareness of the topic, but vocabulary is basic and often repeated, especially “bed situation,” “work,” and “people.” Several spelling and word-choice errors make the message harder to understand, such as “biusiness,” “saticfie,” and “restless” where the intended meaning is unclear. Some expressions are also unnatural, including “standup for bed situation” and “focus on their aim.” Build a more precise range for discussing hardship and responses to it, and check spelling and collocations. For instance, use “difficult circumstances” and “make an effort to improve one’s prospects.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, and the reader can generally identify your main opinion. However, sentence structures are very limited, and errors occur frequently in basic grammar. Examples include “Some people says,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “we should improve himself,” where the pronoun does not match the subject. Articles and verb patterns are also problematic in “we should always to standup” and “if is not good.” Several sentences run together or lack clear punctuation, as in the final lines. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, pronoun consistency, and common verb patterns such as “should try to improve.” Then combine ideas using controlled clauses and punctuate each sentence clearly.
