Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is a debating challenge that some people contend that it is good to accept a unwanted situation such as job with no satisfaction or the lack of money. However, others argue that it is best to work diligently next time and try to improve that kind of situation.

The first and the foremost thing is that everyone has to face the worst situations in their life. So, it is better to accept the hardships. If we have to do such things with which we are not satisfied. We should not blame our fate. We should stay level-headed in that type of condition. It is a universal thing that man cannot be happy in any kind of condition either in luxury or in poverty. If we have patience, the worst things become easy for us.

On the other hand, it is crucial not to lose heart after failure but keep struggling to achieve your goals. Sometimes, we don't get success on time. Due to the fact that, God has others plans for us. He puts trial on us to check our tolreance. We should not lose hope. If we overcome from this difficulties, he will assist us in getting all the comforts. We should give our best and try again and again. A time comes when we enjoy all the luxuries in life and succeed in achieving our ambitions.

In my opinion, we should do also do our unsatisfactory job with pure heart and genuinely. In addition to this, every tycoons overcome from the bottlenecks of their life. We should also try again and again. We don't need to become drowntrodden after our failure. Futhermore, we should keep struggling with the strong belief in God.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response discusses both accepting hardship and trying to improve one’s circumstances, and it gives a personal view in the final paragraph. The contrast between accepting difficult conditions and continuing to pursue goals is relevant to the prompt. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the first view relies mainly on general claims about patience and happiness, while the second uses broad statements about failure, God and eventual success rather than explaining practical ways to improve a job or financial situation. The opinion is also somewhat mixed: you recommend doing an unsatisfactory job sincerely while also urging readers to keep trying, without clearly explaining when acceptance is appropriate and when change is preferable. A more explicit position and specific supporting examples would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a concluding paragraph that states your opinion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal the shift between perspectives. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several linking expressions feel mechanical or do not show the intended relationship. For example, “Due to the fact that, God has others plans for us” is not smoothly connected to the preceding point, while “In addition to this” introduces an idea that is not clearly linked to the claim about doing an unsatisfactory job. The conclusion also repeats the call to keep struggling rather than bringing the two views together. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting point directly to the paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “hardships,” “patience,” “failure,” “goals” and “ambitions,” and you attempt more expressive phrases such as “stay level-headed” and “lose heart.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “a debating challenge,” “work diligently next time,” “puts trial on us,” and “overcome from the bottlenecks” are not idiomatic in these contexts. There are also spelling or word-form errors, including “tolreance,” “Futhermore” and “drowntrodden.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling and collocation, especially when using less familiar vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts a mixture of simple and complex forms, including conditional sentences such as “If we have patience, the worst things become easy for us” and clauses beginning with “On the other hand.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer structures often contain errors that can make the reader pause. For example, “If we have to do such things with which we are not satisfied” is an incomplete sentence, and “If we overcome from this difficulties” has problems with the verb pattern and plural agreement. Other examples include “a unwanted situation” and “every tycoons overcome,” where article and agreement control are weak. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then check articles, singular/plural forms, and verb patterns before adding subordinate clauses.
