Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the contemporary era, satisfaction become the important part of people's life as nobody want to do compromise in jobs as well as for money. On that note, a few number of poeple think that it is a good to tolerate bad situation like, unsatisfactory job or shoratge of money, while other believes that it is better to improve such kind of situation rather than accept it. This essay will not only discuss the reasons behind the both the views but also provide my opinion at the end.

There are many reasons why people accept bad situation. Firstly, many people do not have other options of jobs. To elaborate, employers have to work for that companies from which they are unsatisfied because of they do not have enough knowlegde and experience for jobs in which they have to work. Secondly, people have to accept shoratge of money bacause they do not get enough salary. For example, nowadays, inflation is increased heavily because of it people who get less salary have to survive in this situation. Thus, accepting bad situation is not a choice for people but they have to survived in them.

On the other hand, people have to gave efforts to survive in these conditions. To begin with, if they tried hard to get better job opportunities, which helps them to get a job in workplaces where they want to work . In addition, if they improve their situation then it is beneficial for them and their family also as they get high salary jobs which helps them to improve their financial condition. For example, if they get enough money they can easily fulfil their needs as well as family's need. Therefor, improving this kind of situation can be beneficial not only for their own self but also for their family.

In conclusion, many people have to suvived in bad situation because of less knowledge and small wages, in contrast improving such situation may be improve their lifestyle. In my opinion, people do not have to survived in bad situation instead of working hard to improve them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and give a clear opinion: the essay explains why people may accept difficult circumstances and argues that trying to improve them is preferable. The examples about limited experience, inflation and supporting one’s family are relevant to the question. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The reasons for accepting a bad situation are explained, but the second view is mostly presented as a general benefit of working harder; it would be stronger with a fuller explanation of practical ways people can improve their circumstances and the obstacles they may face. The conclusion restates your position, though it could more directly weigh the two views. Developing the ideas on both sides with more specific reasoning would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the line of discussion easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help identify the stages of the argument. The organisation is generally logical, but some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “On that note” does not precisely connect the opening claim to the opposing views, and “To begin with” is followed by a conditional sentence whose relationship to the point is difficult to track. Some ideas are also repeated, particularly the claim that improving circumstances benefits people and their families. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and connect each example explicitly to its main point to make progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “unsatisfactory job,” “job opportunities,” “inflation,” and “financial condition,” so the main ideas can be understood. There are also attempts to express more specific concepts, such as “employers” and “salary.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “a few number of people,” “do compromise,” and “small wages”; these do not express the intended ideas idiomatically. Spelling errors such as “shoratge,” “knowlegde,” and “Therefor” are noticeable. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the contrast between accepting circumstances and taking steps to change them.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “if,” and “while.” This gives the essay some structural variety, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, especially in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “satisfaction become” and “nobody want” have subject–verb agreement errors, while “people have to survived” uses an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “To begin with, if they tried hard…” is incomplete as written, and “if they improve their situation then it is beneficial” has an unclear conditional structure. Review agreement and verb patterns, and ensure each conditional clause is connected to a complete main clause. More accurate control of these structures would make your argument easier to read.
