Student answer (Band 5.5)

We face several ups and downs in our life, some of them are in our favour while others are against us. Some peple arge that that best way is to accept that worse conditions and do along with them, whereas others believe that the best way is to make the situation better for us. I strongly believe that we should fight with the situation and donot let our selves on the pity of situations.

One of the reasons why indivisuals support that argument is that God gives us mind to think and choose the best for us. Since we have the basic sense of thinking, we could use it to gain the desire outcomes and change our prospects. If we would not use it, we can not move forward to deal with hardships and conquer them with courage. For instance, in the history of humanity only those nations will rose who utilized their mind and did whatever they could do. As we do what ever is possible for us, utilizing of senses specially mind, we could definitely change our worse situations to our dream situations.

Some other people argue that what ever happen with us is in our destiny, so we should not complain or ressist against it and accept it as it is. From their perspective every thing has already written for ourselves, nothing will change with our efforts and we should not thing or try for changing it. For Example, if someone is suffering in job and face hardship while performing his role he should continue with it without trying to searc for better one because this is the same thing written for him in his destiny.

In conclusion, i strongly support that one should try his best to make situation in fovour of him because we are blessed with mind and should utilize it to chage or situtions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state your position clearly: you support trying to improve difficult circumstances. The paragraph about accepting hardship explains the destiny-based belief and gives a relevant job example, while your own view is supported by the idea that people can use their reasoning to change their prospects. However, the discussion remains general and some reasoning is asserted rather than developed—for example, the claim that nations succeed by using their minds is not explained or linked closely to an individual facing an unsatisfactory job or financial difficulty. Develop each view with a clearer explanation and a specific, realistic example, and make the comparison between accepting and changing circumstances more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “whereas,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive, particularly the repeated references to using the mind and changing situations. Some links are also awkward or unclear, such as “As we do what ever is possible for us,” and the conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the discussion together. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it, using clearer referencing and a wider range of accurate transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “hardships,” “prospects,” “destiny,” and “utilized,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “situation,” “mind,” and “best,” while several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make the writing less clear. For example, “do along with them” is not a natural way to express accepting circumstances, and “on the pity of situations” does not convey your intended idea clearly. Spelling errors such as “peple,” “ressist,” and “fovour” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for employment, financial hardship, and taking action, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Since” and “because,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Examples include “only those nations will rose,” “every thing has already written,” and “someone is suffering in job and face hardship.” The opening also contains an unclear construction in “accept that worse conditions and do along with them.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the message. Practise accurate past and future forms, subject–verb agreement, and article use, and proofread each sentence for a complete, grammatically consistent structure.
