Student answer (Band 5.5)

The public have different opinions regarding whether accepeting poor situation or never accept such circumstances and try to improve always. this eesay will examine both perspectives before explaining why i beleve that; humans need to increase their situation rather than accepte it.

On the one hand, some people argue that the best choice is to be statisfied under bad situations such as low paying job and shortage of money. the main reason behind this beilief is that ; humans always perfer to stay in the comfort zone rather than trying to improve their living. another vital reason is the fear of loss. Consequently, the people who dont take the risks stays in the bottom their wholelives, for instance, scientifc experince took two groups of kids, the two groupes were under comfort but stressful environment, the result was really surpricing the both groupes accepeted their faith and keep living under that zone.

On the other hand, others see that it is crucial to try to improve bad senarios such as bad work environemnt or poor financial situation. this is because no one will do it for you, and it a important attitude to try always to stand up even if your in the valley, as a result it creating a successful, good member to the society, for instance, scientist will try 1000 times before they success in their project as the fathe of electricity( thomas eidson) said:i didnt fail 100 times i tried 100 time. in my opinion, this view is more convincing.

In the end, both prespectives have valid points; however, I believe that we always need to try our best because we deserve better.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both sides of the question and state a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, especially in the introduction and conclusion. The discussion of accepting a poor situation gives relevant reasons—comfort and fear of loss—but the example about two groups of children is difficult to understand and does not clearly support the point. The argument for change is more persuasive, with the idea that people must act for themselves and the Edison anecdote, although the quotation is not explained in detail. Overall, the task is covered, but several ideas remain general or unclear. Develop each reason with a direct explanation of how it relates to jobs or financial hardship, and use examples that are credible and clearly connected.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In the end” help readers follow the overall direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by unclear links between claims and examples. For instance, the study about children follows the point about fear of loss, but its relevance is not made explicit. Some linking phrases are also mechanical, and the long sentence beginning “Consequently” is difficult to follow. Improve cohesion by making each paragraph follow a clear sequence—claim, explanation, relevant example—and use pronouns and transitions only when their references are unmistakable.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “comfort zone,” “financial situation,” “crucial,” and “successful.” These choices show some ability to discuss abstract ideas, but the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “accepeting,” “statisfied,” “beilief,” “senarios,” and “environemnt.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “stay in the bottom their wholelives” and “increase their situation.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than more ambitious wording: for example, say “improve their circumstances” and “remain in a difficult position.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise phrases will make your ideas clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as a result.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes make meaning hard to follow. For example, “the people who dont take the risks stays” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “and it a important attitude” is missing a verb. The sentence beginning “Consequently” also combines several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and a supporting clause, and check verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries. More reliable control of these structures would make your argument easier to understand.
