Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is a number of people who believe that try better to improve a bad situation and the other believe it is better to accept critical situation like a faniancial problem and unsatisfatory job.Overall, I am going to discuss both point and give my opinion
Firstly, some people who think it is best to accept bad condition these people do not try there best they feel exhuasted and almost done by there life. For example some student when they got less cpga in there first 2 semester then they do not try there best they do not work hard to get more cgpa
On other hand some people believe they can do much better than other like there is some people belong to poor faimly nevertheless they work hard, do more work to improve there lifestyle
In conclusion i discussed both point but according to this is better to try and improve such situation

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify both perspectives and state your preference in the conclusion: “it is better to try and improve such situation.” The examples about students who stop working after low grades and people from poor families who work hard are relevant to the topic. However, the discussion is very brief, and the reasons behind each view are only sketched rather than explained or supported in detail. The opening says you will discuss both views, but the response does not fully develop them or clearly explain when accepting a difficult situation might be reasonable. The response also contains 154 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough space to address the task fully. Develop each viewpoint with a clear reason and a specific example, then explain why your own position is stronger.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each viewpoint, and a conclusion. “Firstly” and “On other hand” help signal the shift between the two sides, so the reader can follow the basic direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: ideas are often stated once and then left unexplained, and the conclusion mainly repeats the opinion rather than drawing the discussion together. Some connections are also unclear, such as the move from accepting a bad situation to students not trying after low grades. Use clearer topic sentences and add linking explanations between claims and examples. A fuller paragraph structure, with each viewpoint developed in sequence, would make the argument more coherent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “bad situation,” “financial problem,” “unsatisfactory job,” “poor family,” and “improve their lifestyle.” These choices make the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “people,” “try,” and “situation.” Spelling errors such as “faniancial,” “unsatisfatory,” “exhuasted,” and “faimly” are noticeable, while phrases such as “critical situation” and “do much better than other” are not natural in context. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe a “difficult financial circumstance” or say that someone “works to improve their standard of living,” which would make the discussion clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to express more than one idea in a sentence, for example by contrasting people who accept hardship with those who try to improve their circumstances. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at longer sentences are often faulty. In “There is a number of people who believe that try better to improve,” the subject–verb agreement and clause structure are incorrect. Other examples include “the other believe,” “some student,” and “when they got less … then they do not try,” which show problems with agreement, plurals, and tense consistency. Punctuation is also inconsistent, especially where sentences run together. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled clauses such as “although” or “because.” Proofread for agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries.
