Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

While some people perspective accepts the bad situation due to low amout of money and unconfortable job. As else as, others think try and change such situation. This essay will discuss both perspectives before giving my own opinion on the matter.

Firstly, due to lack of jobs opportunities in the market, people believe accept bad situation. This is because skills or fresh graduates did not find any jobs without any references. The person does not have any social connections faced lots of diffculties and even companies does not pay according to their criteria. For instance, one women is manager in company. She apply multiple companies for better opportunities. She does not find any jobs even she has experience related to job and high skill. That is why people believe accept the bad situation rather than improve.

Secondly, due to lots of social media platforms and AI skill, individuals try to improve their live. This is because people does not find lots of opportunities due to lack of research and information. Public learn AI skills that helps even in their life also for their jobs. Right platform is also important to find better jobs such as Indeed, Rozee and Upwork. For example: Students learn lot of skills but they does not have clear path or platform for earning. Even, lot of people work full jobs and after they do remorte jobs.

To sum up, while there are valid arguments on both sides, I believe that to find social media platforms and AI skills people try to improve their live.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state a preference for trying to improve one’s circumstances, particularly through social media platforms and AI skills. The two body paragraphs are relevant: the first links accepting a poor situation to limited job opportunities and connections, while the second describes ways people might seek better work. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first example about a manager applying to companies does not clearly explain why she should accept her situation, and the second paragraph shifts between AI, job-search platforms, students, and remote work without showing how these support the argument. Your conclusion repeats your preference but does not explain it. Develop each view with a clearer reason and a directly relevant example, and make your position more explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two paragraphs presenting contrasting views, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the essay. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links between ideas are unclear. For example, the manager’s job search is followed by the claim that people accept bad situations, but the connection is not explained. In the second body paragraph, AI skills, job platforms, students, and remote work are introduced in quick succession. Some transitions, including “As else as,” are also inaccurate. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect each example explicitly to that point rather than relying mainly on sequencing words.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to employment and opportunity, including “social connections,” “references,” “experience,” and “platform.” This gives the response enough topic-related language to communicate its general ideas. However, the range is limited, and noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “low amout,” “unconfortable job,” “diffculties,” and “remorte jobs”; phrases such as “improve their live” and “lots of jobs opportunities” are also not natural English. Repeated use of “people,” “jobs,” and “lots” limits precision. Build a bank of accurate employment-related collocations and check spelling and word forms, aiming for precise phrases such as “financial hardship” or “career prospects.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “even,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles. For example, “people believe accept bad situation” needs a grammatical pattern such as “people believe they should accept a bad situation,” while “one women is manager” has errors in number and article use. In “people does not find,” the subject and verb do not agree, and “She apply” needs a past-tense form to match the surrounding account. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and consistent tense before adding subordinate clauses.
