Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this essay, I will discuss about some individuals who think that accepting a bad situation like an unsatisfactory job or money shortage is good, but some have different views and they belive that try to improve these situations lead to better life. In my opinion, try harder to improve negative situation in difficult time is more suitable and healthy option for any individual in life.
Some people prefer to accept any situation in life, wheather its good or bad, and they don't even try to make it easier. These type of situation eventually leads to more mental health problems like stress and anxiety. For Instance, study shows that individuals going through hard conditions like financial burden leads to more problem on their personal and profesional life. Their performance on the job also decrease due to this kind of situations.
On the other hand, people who does not choose to accept hard times and try better to improve the situation, leads to lower health problems and become mentally more stable than those who accept hard times. People try different things to come out of the hardship, for example, I read in the newspaper recently that the guy jumped into totally different business to pays of his previous loan which caused due to previous business failure, but he choose to fight back and improve his condition rather than regrate.
In my opinion, people shall always be ready for the hard times in the life, but insted of giving up on those, choose to fight back and improve themselfs better that those who prefer to regrate on the negative condition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a consistent opinion: you argue that people should try to improve difficult circumstances rather than give up. The discussion of accepting hardship links it to stress and reduced work performance, while the second view is illustrated by someone changing businesses to repay a loan. However, the ideas are only partly developed. The first view is presented mainly as harmful, without explaining why some people may consider acceptance realistic or useful. The example about the businessman is also difficult to assess because its relevance and outcome are not fully explained. Develop each side with clearer reasoning and support, and make the distinction between accepting what cannot be changed and giving up more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a concluding opinion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” and “In my opinion” help readers follow the main direction. Within paragraphs, however, connections are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “These type of situation” does not clearly refer back to the preceding idea, and the newspaper example is introduced without a smooth explanation of how it supports the argument. The conclusion repeats the position but adds little synthesis. Use clearer referencing and connect each example explicitly to the point it illustrates; this would make the progression more consistently easy to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial burden,” “mental health problems,” “hardship,” and “mentally more stable.” These choices communicate the general argument, but the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision. Phrases such as “try better to improve,” “lower health problems,” and “regrate on the negative condition” are not natural in this context, while “belive,” “wheather,” and “profesional” are misspelled. Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than adding more difficult words: for instance, describe people as “trying to improve their circumstances” and say that this may “reduce stress.” Proofreading spelling and word forms would also strengthen clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “who” and “which,” and the main meaning is generally recoverable. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “people who does not choose,” where the subject and verb do not agree, and “the guy … to pays of his previous loan,” where the infinitive and verb form are incorrect. The opening sentence also has an awkward structure, and “Their performance … decrease” has an agreement error. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries during revision.
