Student answer (Band 5.0)

People have different opinion depend on the situation how they deal with there life. Some people take best to accept bad situation for unsatisfactory job. However others thinks not like that circumstance. In my opinion I strongly agree second argue where it is better to try and improve such situation.

On the other hannd, people who think accept bad situation for unsatisfactory job because they accept for financial difficulties or may be they are frustation or stress in there life. For instance, One of friend who is struggleing his life to not getting a job where his parent force or something like that. In that situation he is so stressful and don't know what to do. After 1 months later he got a job which is not satisfying salary but the situation he have to the job.

On the other hand a person who try to improve such situation and make him a perfect. For example, A person who reject many time for not have experience but he realize what he has gap and not get a job. Than he learns new skill to make him perfect in such situation to get a job and better salary and everything.

In conclusion, I believe people try to improve there circumstance whenever possible. this can create better opportunity and lead a better life

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear opinion in the introduction and conclusion: you favour trying to improve difficult circumstances. You also mention both views and include examples about accepting a low-paid job and learning new skills. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the first example describes a friend’s situation but does not clearly explain why accepting it is a reasonable choice, while the second gives limited detail about how skill-building improves prospects. The response contains 213 words, so it is 37 words below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop each view with clearer reasons and fuller examples, and ensure the response meets the required length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The contrast between the positions is signalled by “On the other hand,” and the conclusion returns to your opinion, so the reader can follow the general direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first example moves from a friend’s job search to parental pressure and then to a job without explaining the links. “On the other hand” is also repeated for both body paragraphs, and some sentences do not connect smoothly. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example explicitly to the view it supports; vary transitions and make references such as “the situation” more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financial difficulties,” “stressful,” “experience,” “new skill,” and “better salary.” These choices help communicate the main ideas about employment and improving circumstances. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, form, spelling, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “take best to accept,” “they are frustation,” and “make him a perfect.” Some expressions are also vague, including “and everything.” Aim for more precise phrases to explain the reasons and outcomes, and check spelling and word forms. For example, describe someone as “frustrated” and say they “develop their skills” rather than “make him a perfect.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrastive opening with “However” and a reason clause beginning “because.” This shows an effort to connect ideas rather than relying only on short statements. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to follow. For example, “Some people take best to accept” lacks a clear grammatical construction, while “others thinks” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. “After 1 months later he got a job” also combines time expressions awkwardly. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a supporting clause, then check agreement, tense, and sentence boundaries.
