Student answer (Band 5.0)

many people think that best to accept a bad situation such as lack of finance or unsasisfactory job while others argue that better to try and improve the situation .

in this essay i will discuss both point of view and give my opinion .

bad situation create a mental pressure for the person . through bad time people can't focus their work thats why sometimes company suffer however employes are not able to work appropiately . company and employe both side think that they are not right for this particular section . in this case company and stuff both create a distance between them moreover company sometimes provide a small sallery and stuff work here beacuse workers do not has proper idea what can they do from this bad situation .

on the other hand many people belive that it's better to try or learn such situantion . i agree with them because if any one has proper skill and knowledge than they can do anything . this type of people can not wait for the job those gave them small sallery beacuse workers are not slave in addtion improvement is essential not for the job they could learn from their previous mistakes and make a good lesson for the life .

in conclution , worker or employe they are not slave. skills and knowledege is more important for everywhere . so they sould learn something that increase their perception and build confidance also helps to make a good career .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both views and state your preference for trying to improve a difficult situation, especially through the point that people can learn from past mistakes. However, the discussion of accepting a bad situation is unclear: the links between mental pressure, company performance, and low salaries are not explained sufficiently, and the second view is supported mainly by general claims about skills and workers not being “slave[s].” The conclusion repeats your position rather than drawing the discussion together. The response also falls short of the required 250 words: it contains 244 words, and the eight words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each view with a clear reason and a specific example, and add enough relevant explanation to meet the minimum.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the overall direction, and phrases such as “on the other hand” and “in conclusion” signal transitions. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow. For example, the first body paragraph moves from mental pressure to company performance, then to distance between employers and workers, without clearly showing how these points connect. Linking words such as “moreover” and “however” sometimes introduce relationships that are not clear. Improve cohesion by organising each paragraph around one main claim, then explaining and illustrating it; use pronouns and connectors only when their references and logical relationships are clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “mental pressure,” “skill and knowledge,” “previous mistakes,” and “career.” These choices make your general meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “unsasisfactory,” “sallery,” “stuff” for staff, and “perception” where a different term may be intended. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “learn such situation” and “make a good lesson.” Build a more accurate range of employment and problem-solving vocabulary, and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise expressions such as “cope with a difficult situation,” “seek better-paid work,” and “learn a valuable lesson” rather than translating ideas word for word.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if any one has proper skill and knowledge than they can do anything.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in basic sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some relationships difficult to understand. Examples include “many people think that best to accept,” which lacks a complete verb structure, “workers do not has,” and “they sould learn something that increase,” where agreement and verb forms are incorrect. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly at sentence beginnings and around clauses. Practise complete subject–verb structures, subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries; then proofread each sentence to ensure its clauses connect grammatically.
