Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and give a clear preference in the conclusion: “we always try to improve such situations.” The two body paragraphs also relate to accepting or changing difficult circumstances, so the response remains on task. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The acceptance paragraph gives examples about staying in an unsatisfactory job and choosing cheaper items, but does not explain why acceptance might be sensible or beneficial. The improvement paragraph makes broad claims about falling behind others and having a better family life, without showing how people can improve their circumstances. Develop each view with a specific reason and explain its consequences. The conclusion repeats the two positions rather than drawing together the main reasoning. The stated length requirement is met; nine words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding paragraph. This helps the reader identify the two views and your opinion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several links between ideas are unclear. For example, the sentence about having little money, wanting to buy something, and changing a decision is difficult to follow, while “For instance, competitive world as well as better future plan” does not clearly illustrate the preceding point. Linking phrases such as “Because” are also used as sentence openings without a clear connection to the previous sentence. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain and exemplify it; use referencing and transitions more precisely to make the argument flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “unsatisfactory job,” “shortage of money,” “competition,” and “improve,” which makes the topic identifiable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “bad situations,” “accept,” and “people.” Frequent spelling errors—such as “sortage,” “situtions,” “achive,” and “compititive”—and inaccurate word choices sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Some combinations are also unnatural, for example “stand back to others” and “give our better.” Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing financial hardship, job satisfaction, and personal progress, and check spelling carefully. Using accurate collocations will make your ideas clearer as well as more varied.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a conditional structure in “if we accept the situations we stuck in one positions.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to make some ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “Some individual believe,” “people easily survive their life,” and “we stuck in one positions”; these need corrected subject–verb agreement and complete verb structures. Several sentences also begin with “Because” but are left as fragments, and punctuation around these clauses is inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached reason or example. Greater control of basic patterns will make your longer sentences easier to understand.
