Student answer (Band 5.0)
People argues that it is best to accept the situation, such as unsatisfactory job or money shortage while other says that it is better to try to improve such situations. I agree with the the view that people should work to improve the situations.
The proponents of this argument "it is best to accept a bad situation" say you cannot change the situation and accept the circumstances whatever you are facing. They believe that there is no way to change situation and accept whatever you are facing, as without that you may end up with nothing. For instance, people who are not happy with their jobs, should accept that and carry on with this, because without that may get broke or not get the income you are getting from that job.
The people who oppose this statement "it is best to accept a bad situation" argue that it is better to work on your condition and try to make it better. They say that people should work on their weaknesses or things they are not happy from. They should not accept the compromising situation but rather focus on improving it. People should every bad situation as challenge and do their best overcome. Like people who face harasement at workplace or not happy with their job should remained silent or compromised, perhaps switch the job or focus on improving their condition.
In conclusion, I think people should face the circumstances and work to improve them. In that way, they may able overcome or improve their situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You discuss both positions and state your own view clearly in the introduction and conclusion: you favour trying to improve difficult circumstances. The examples about keeping an unsatisfactory job for income and changing jobs or addressing workplace problems are relevant. However, the explanations remain limited and some points are unclear—for example, the claim that accepting a situation may leave someone “with nothing” is not fully explained. The response also does not meet the required minimum: it contains 241 words, and 16 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each view with clearer reasoning and add a specific supporting example to complete the discussion more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the overall discussion easy to identify, and phrases such as “For instance” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes repetitive: the first body paragraph repeats the idea of accepting circumstances, while the second restates that people should improve their situation. Some links are also unclear, particularly “because without that may get broke,” which makes the relationship between the example and its reason difficult to follow. Use a clearer sequence of claim, explanation, and example, and vary or reduce repeated linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “circumstances,” “weaknesses,” “compromising situation,” and “improving their condition.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less natural. Examples include “people argues,” “happy from,” “get broke,” and the misspelling “harasement.” Repetition of “situation,” “accept,” and “improve” also restricts flexibility. Build a more precise set of expressions for employment and financial difficulty, and check spelling and common word partnerships. For example, “financial hardship” and “seek better working conditions” would express ideas more naturally and precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences using clauses such as “because” and “as,” but these structures are often faulty, and many sentences contain errors in basic grammar. For example, “People argues” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, “the the view” repeats an article, and “people should every bad situation as challenge” is missing a verb and an article. In “without that may get broke,” the subject is also missing, while “should remained silent” uses the wrong verb form. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with complete clauses, correct agreement, and consistent verb forms.
