Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present both views and state a clear preference in “I am in favour of second view,” so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partial: the case for accepting a poor job is mainly that finding another job is difficult, while the opposing view focuses on higher income and material benefits. These points need fuller explanation and more balanced development, including why someone might accept a difficult situation beyond job-market competition. The conclusion is also incomplete (“individuals must do efforts to improve their con…”), leaving your final position and reasoning unfinished. The response is 15 words below the required minimum, which further limits the opportunity to develop the ideas. Add a complete conclusion and extend each main point with clear explanation or a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and an attempted conclusion. Transitions such as “On the contrary,” “For example,” and “To sum up” help signal the direction of the discussion. This gives the essay a coherent overall arrangement. However, some links are mechanical or unclear, and the first body paragraph’s example does not connect smoothly to its claim: the factory workers’ outcome is difficult to follow. The final sentence is cut off, disrupting the ending. Improve progression by making each paragraph’s main point explicit, then explaining it before giving an example. Use referencing and linking phrases only where the relationship between ideas is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “low income,” “salary,” “basic needs,” and “living standards,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “source of income” and “sense of fulfilment.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “unsatifaction,” “competion,” “luxries,” and “empty handed.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “leave the low source of income” and “search for more satisfaction and salary.” Choose accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, say “leave a low-paid job” rather than “leave the low source of income,” and use “seek a higher salary” rather than “search for … salary.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a concession with “although.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “The competition is so much high” and “when they will have source of income will high salary,” where sentence structure and verb forms make the meaning hard to follow. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “find new job” and “many studies has indicated.” The opening also runs two contrasting clauses together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building clear subject–verb sentences, then add one subordinate clause at a time; check articles, agreement, and punctuation when proofreading.
