Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. Furthermore, the response is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence. While you have identified some trends, such as the growth in petroleum products and the decline in Gems and Jewellery, the analysis is superficial. You have not effectively selected and reported the main features or made sufficient comparisons between the categories. To improve, ensure you provide a complete overview, include all relevant data points, and meet the length requirement to allow for a full development of your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks a clear logical progression. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the ideas within the paragraphs are disjointed and the transition between the chart and the table is not handled effectively. The use of cohesive devices is minimal and sometimes inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'In the chart' and 'In the first chart'. The lack of a concluding sentence or a cohesive summary makes the text feel fragmented. Improving the use of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'in contrast', 'consequently') would help create a better flow between your observations.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is quite limited and contains several errors in word choice and collocation. For example, 'eradicate amount' is incorrect in this context, and 'falls up to' is confusing. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to express precise data-related concepts. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more academic vocabulary related to trends and data analysis, such as 'fluctuated', 'experienced a marginal increase', or 'witnessed a significant decline'. Focus on using words that accurately describe the movement of data rather than general terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Its show that Jewellery items exports to other country is low' (subject-verb agreement and article usage errors) and 'how muc' (incomplete sentence). You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, and there is a lack of variety in your grammatical range. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and using correct tense forms when describing past data. Proofreading for basic punctuation and spelling errors will also help improve your accuracy.
