Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the task by summarizing the main features of the chart and table. However, the overview is weak, and the description of the data is somewhat disorganized. While you mention specific categories like textiles and gems, the connection between the bar chart (values) and the table (percentage change) is not fully integrated. You have identified the main trends, but the analysis lacks a clear structure, and some comparisons, such as the claim that jewelry decreased '5 times' compared to agriculture, are mathematically confusing and not clearly supported by the provided data. To improve, ensure you group data logically and provide a clear, concise overview of the most significant trends at the beginning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is written as a single block of text, which hinders readability. There is a lack of paragraphing to separate the introduction, overview, and specific details. While you use some cohesive devices like 'whereas' and 'in short,' the flow between sentences is often mechanical and repetitive. The logical progression is interrupted by the way the data is presented; for instance, jumping between categories without a clear thematic grouping makes the information difficult to follow. Using clear paragraph breaks and a wider variety of linking phrases would significantly improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You rely on repetitive phrasing such as 'earning is in billions' and 'increase in the earning.' There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'least has 3 percent increase' and 'at least growth.' To reach a higher band, you should aim for more precise terminology related to data reporting, such as 'fluctuated,' 'experienced a marginal rise,' or 'witnessed a significant decline.' Expanding your range of synonyms for 'increase' and 'decrease' will help you avoid repetition and demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'black blocks are indicating' (should be 'indicate'), 'have least has 3 percent' (grammatically incorrect), and 'in later' (should be 'the latter'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally clear, these errors occur throughout the text and occasionally impede the flow of information. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles would help improve your accuracy and overall clarity.
