Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by identifying the main features and comparing the categories. However, the overview is slightly inaccurate, as it states 'every export category is increase', while the data shows that Agricultural products remained relatively stable and Gems and Jewelry decreased. The summary would be improved by grouping categories more effectively rather than listing them individually. While the key data points are included, the analysis lacks a clear synthesis of the trends, which is necessary for a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'The next one is', 'The third one is', 'The second last is'). The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. To improve, you should use a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect ideas more fluidly, such as 'In contrast', 'Furthermore', or 'Regarding the remaining categories'.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'a country export' instead of 'a country's exports' and 'Germs and Jewelry' instead of 'Gems and Jewelry'. The phrasing is often simplistic, relying on basic verbs like 'earns' or 'is'. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise terminology related to data reporting, such as 'experienced a decline', 'remained stable', or 'witnessed a significant surge'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('every export category is increase' instead of 'every export category increased') and tense inconsistencies ('the table illustrate' instead of 'the table illustrates'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of decimals and currency units. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band.
