Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the task but lacks a clear overview of the main trends. While you mention specific categories, the summary is fragmented and fails to synthesize the data effectively. You identify Textiles as the most profitable, but the analysis of the other categories is superficial and lacks a clear comparison of the 2015 and 2016 figures. To improve, ensure you provide a clear 'overview' paragraph that highlights the most significant trends or differences across the categories, rather than just listing individual data points. The inclusion of specific figures is good, but the interpretation of the data needs more depth to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between sentences is often mechanical, and the conclusion does not effectively summarize the main points, instead repeating information already mentioned. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'However' is used frequently). To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between the two years.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic terms like 'profitable' and 'profit difference' when describing percentage changes. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'consist' instead of 'consists', 'comparsion' instead of 'comparison', and 'Addtionally'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the score. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'fluctuation', 'growth', or 'decline', and ensure you proofread for basic spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('The chart consist', 'Textiles products are the most profitable product'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('Agricultural resources is the which makes low net income'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Try to incorporate more complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or passive voice, to demonstrate a wider range of grammatical control.
