Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response covers all parts of the task by identifying the main features and providing relevant data comparisons. You successfully highlighted the significant increase in textiles and the decrease in gems and jewellery. However, the overview is slightly weak; it could be more comprehensive by mentioning the overall trend across all categories. While the data is generally accurate, some phrasing is slightly informal (e.g., 'a-little bit'). To reach a higher band, ensure that the overview clearly synthesises the main trends rather than just listing individual changes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organised into an introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Next', and 'Furthermore' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of punctuation is inconsistent, which occasionally disrupts the logical progression. For example, starting sentences with 'and' or using periods where commas would be more appropriate affects the overall coherence. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'statistical analysis', 'categories', and 'enhancement'. However, there are instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'solo country exports' (instead of 'a single country's exports') and 'slightly $31-$32 billions dollar'. The use of 'unfortunatly' contains a spelling error. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that units of measurement are expressed naturally within the sentence structure.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the significant increase are found') and incorrect preposition usage. Additionally, the sentence structure is sometimes fragmented, such as 'Followed by engineered goods with virtually $55 billions and at 2016 they crossed...'. While the meaning remains clear, the high frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will be beneficial.
