Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the task by identifying main features, but the analysis is often inaccurate or poorly supported. For example, you state that petroleum products produced 60 billion in both years, but the chart shows values closer to 60 and 63 billion. Furthermore, the description of the textile category is confusing, as you mention it was 'lower in 2015' and then 'gained a rise', which is vague. The overview is weak and does not clearly highlight the most significant trends, such as the overall growth across categories. To improve, ensure that data points are read precisely from the graph and that comparisons are clearly articulated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is hindered by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with' and 'Shifting towards', they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the sentence 'whether few products were highly change' is grammatically disjointed and lacks a clear connection to the preceding thought. The flow between sentences is often interrupted by these structural issues, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison of data points effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and contains several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'enginnering', 'produc', and 'texitile'. You rely on basic descriptors like 'highest category' and 'lowest postion'. There is an attempt to use more academic vocabulary, but it is often used incorrectly, such as 'exchange of different amenities' to describe exports. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to data reporting, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a significant increase', and ensure accurate spelling of key terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'the earnings was' and 'the ratio of every category of exports were'. Sentence structures are often repetitive or awkward, such as 'there were numerous changes were occurring'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, which limits the range of error-free sentences. Focusing on basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
