The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The bar chart compares the information about various categories that one country's export during 2015 to 2016. While, the table shows percentage change in value (2015 - 2016) of different exports products.
Overall, the petroleum products and engineered goods generated the highest export in both years. In contrast, textiles had lowest earning in 2015, but it has significant increased in 2016. Gems and jewellery was only product to decline.
In 2015, petroleum product were the most export category, and generate around $61 billion, followed by engineering goods at approximately $57 billion. While, in 2016 It were increased by 3% and 8.5%. it earned approximately $63 billion and $62 billion. However, gems and jewellery slightly declined around 5.18%, from $43 billon to $41 billion.
On the other hand, agriculture goods exported $31 billion in 2015, while $32 billion in 2016. So, it was roughly around rose 0.81%. Textiles showed remarkable growth. It was around 15.24%. It increased from $26 billion to $31 billion.
