Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data and provided a clear overview. You covered all categories and made relevant comparisons between the two years. The inclusion of the percentage change data from the table is well-integrated into the final paragraph. To reach a higher band, ensure that you consistently provide specific data points for all comparisons; for instance, while you mentioned agricultural products were 'relatively stable', providing the exact figures for both years would strengthen the analytical depth. Overall, the response is well-structured and addresses all requirements of the prompt effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The response is logically organized, with a clear introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs that group information effectively. You use cohesive devices such as 'By contrast', 'Regarding', and 'By comparison' to guide the reader through the data. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different categories and the percentage change analysis. The progression of ideas is clear throughout the text. To improve further, ensure that referencing is always precise; for example, 'in that same year' in the introduction is slightly ambiguous given the chart covers two years. Overall, the flow of information is smooth and easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey information clearly, using terms like 'accounted for', 'represented', and 'upward trend'. There are a few minor spelling errors, such as 'egineered' and 'down ward', which should be avoided. While the vocabulary is adequate for the task, incorporating more precise academic collocations or varied synonyms for 'value' and 'increased' would elevate the lexical quality. The current range is sufficient for the task, but lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 7.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, and your control of grammar is generally good. Most sentences are error-free, and the meaning is always clear. There are some minor punctuation and spacing issues, such as the missing space in '$42billion' and the unnecessary space before the comma in 'engineered goods ,'. Additionally, ensure consistent subject-verb agreement and article usage. While you demonstrate a good command of basic and some complex structures, increasing the variety of complex sentence forms would improve your score in this criterion.
