Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. While you have identified some main features, such as the growth in petroleum and engineered goods, the analysis is underdeveloped. You have not provided a clear overview of the trends, and the lack of length prevents a full comparison of the data. To improve, ensure you provide a clear summary of the overall trends in the introduction or overview paragraph and expand on the data points provided to meet the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The response is organized into short paragraphs, but the logical flow is hindered by the lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are often missing or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'and'. The conclusion is incomplete and lacks a proper summary statement. To improve, use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'furthermore', 'consequently') to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear purpose.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'highest', 'increased', and 'remain same'. There are also errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'magnificant inresceed' instead of 'significant increase' and 'agriclutural'. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise vocabulary related to data description, such as 'surged', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a marginal decline', and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'petroleum was export 60 billions' (should be 'exports were 60 billion') and 'it was significant improvement was 8.5%'. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the control over basic grammar, such as subject-verb agreement and tense consistency, is inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
