Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, reaching only 109 words. Because the response is significantly under-length, it is incomplete and fails to provide a comprehensive summary of the data. While you attempted to identify some main features, the analysis is truncated and lacks the necessary depth to cover all categories presented in the chart and table. To improve, you must ensure you provide a full overview and sufficient detail for all data points to meet the task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response shows some attempt at logical organization, such as using an 'Overall' paragraph and a 'to commence with' transition. However, the progression is severely hampered by the incomplete nature of the text. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and limited. Paragraphing is present but ineffective due to the lack of content. To improve, focus on linking sentences more fluidly and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, developed focus that contributes to the overall summary.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'the figures of... were almost similar' and 'showed the minor growth' are functional but lack the precision expected in an academic report. There are also issues with currency formatting (e.g., '60 $ billions' should be '$60 billion'). To reach a higher band, incorporate more varied and precise vocabulary related to data trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a marginal increase'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains several grammatical errors, including issues with article usage ('a singles nation'), punctuation, and sentence structure. The sentence 'the figures of agricultural products were almost similar in both years' is grammatically acceptable but simplistic. There are also incomplete sentences, such as '61 $ billions by eng', which significantly impacts clarity. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct placement of currency symbols, and ensuring all sentences are complete and punctuated correctly.
