Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers all parts of the task by summarizing the main features of the bar chart and the table. You successfully identified the highest and lowest categories and noted the trends. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. For instance, you state that earnings were 'almost same' or 'similar' without providing specific data points from the chart to support these claims. To reach a higher band, you should integrate the specific figures (e.g., 60 billion, 40 billion) more precisely into your comparisons rather than using vague descriptors. The overview is present but could be more analytical regarding the overall trends.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'At the first glance', 'Moreover', and 'Moving further'. However, some of these transitions feel mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Moving further, it can be inferred that from table chart'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs more variety to avoid a repetitive structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision required for higher bands. You use some awkward phrasing, such as 'table graph', 'percentiles exchange', and 'billions earning'. The term 'percentiles' is misused here; 'percentage change' would be correct. There is also some repetition of words like 'earning' and 'value'. To improve, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to data reporting, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a marginal increase', rather than relying on basic descriptors like 'same' or 'increased'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'the numbers of engineered goods were approximately similar... which was less than more than 60' and 'Despite of this, the values of gems and jewellery were decreased.' The use of 'Despite of' is incorrect (it should be 'Despite' or 'In spite of'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of periods and commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score.
