The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The chart below describes the amount of one country exports in various categories from 2015 to 1016. The table describes the ratio of change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Overall, there were not any big difference between them in 2 years, except textiles exports.
In 2015, the ratio of exporting petroleum product was 61 percent, but after one year it increased and became 64 percent. After one year, it rose 3 percent.
The engineered goods had the ratio 54 in 2015, while in 2016, it rose 8.5 percent and became 62.5 percent in exporting.
In 2015, gems and jewellery was 45 percent in exporting and after one year it decreased and became 39.82. In 2016, the ratio of agricultural products in exporting was 31.81 percent, while the ratio in 2015 was 31 percent in exporting. Exporting the textiles in 2015 was 23 percent, and after one year it increased and became 38.24 percent.
