Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement score. While you have attempted to identify some data points, the summary is incomplete and lacks a clear overview of the main trends. The information provided is often confusing, such as the claim that petroleum products 'has very expand' to 4% in 2016, which contradicts the provided data. You have not effectively selected or reported the main features, and the comparisons between the bar chart and the table are poorly integrated. To improve, ensure you provide a clear, accurate summary of the data and meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks logical organization and progression. Paragraphing is present but ineffective, as the ideas within the paragraphs are disjointed and difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are either missing or used incorrectly, such as the repetitive use of 'and' and 'but' to connect unrelated clauses. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt, and the lack of clear signposting makes it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison of the data. You need to focus on using linking words like 'however', 'in contrast', and 'furthermore' more accurately to create a smoother flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often inaccurate. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'has very expand' instead of 'expanded significantly' and 'give actual structure' which is not appropriate in this context. The repetition of basic words like 'products' and 'increase' limits your ability to convey information precisely. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a decline', and ensure that words are used in their correct grammatical forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'both graphs represents'), incorrect verb tenses, and sentence fragments. Many sentences are poorly constructed, making the meaning unclear, such as 'In 2015 all the categories grow but also not only 2016 has surge'. The range of structures is very limited, relying mostly on simple sentences that lack complexity. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that you use appropriate tenses when describing past data.
