Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the data and provided a clear overview. You included data for all categories and made relevant comparisons between the two years. However, the report lacks precision in data reporting; for example, stating 'over $60 of billons' is vague and grammatically awkward. To improve, ensure you accurately transcribe the figures from the chart and table. While you covered all parts of the task, the lack of precision in numerical reporting and the slightly repetitive structure of the body paragraphs prevent this from reaching a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You used some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'In addition', and 'However' to link your points. However, some transitions are mechanical or used incorrectly, such as 'While , highest changes was noted'. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, and the punctuation around your cohesive devices needs refinement. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the flow of your writing feel more natural and sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey the main points of the task. However, there are consistent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'billons' (billions), 'transformation' (change/fluctuation), and 'was offered high income source'. The phrase 'of billons' is used repeatedly and incorrectly. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology for describing trends, such as 'experienced a growth of' or 'witnessed a decline', and ensure you are using standard units of measurement correctly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'petroleum products was offered'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'it was grew'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'which was rose'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas and the use of the dollar sign. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of basic grammatical errors limits the score. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
