Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the data, but the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you identified the trends for most categories, the comparison between the bar chart and the table is not fully integrated. For instance, you mention the percentage change in the table but do not effectively link these figures to the absolute values shown in the bar chart. Furthermore, the statement that 'all the products were facing inclination' is factually incorrect based on the provided data, as some categories showed a decline. To improve, ensure that your summary accurately reflects the data and provides a more cohesive synthesis of the two visual sources.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or awkward. For example, the transition 'Whereas, The table describes...' is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the final paragraph is incomplete, ending abruptly with 'Overall', which negatively impacts the logical progression of the response. Using a wider range of linking words such as 'conversely', 'in contrast', or 'consequently' would help improve the flow between sentences and paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, such as 'earnings', 'category', and 'percentage change'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward phrasing, such as 'faced a inclination', 'marked at almost 58 billions', and 'labelled at 62 billions'. These errors occasionally make the text sound unnatural. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations for describing trends, such as 'experienced an upward trend' instead of 'faced a inclination', and ensure that units of measurement are used correctly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('The earnings... was'), incorrect preposition usage ('reached to 62 billions'), and awkward phrasing ('faced a decline in next year for 2 billions'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capital letters after commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to lower the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your accuracy.
