The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The chart below illustrate the export earning of a country in term of five products during the year 2015 and 1016.And also the percentage change in each category.
Overall,the petroleum products increased significantly and show a maximum earning in both the time periods.In contrast,textiles faced significantly decrease from both the years.
The earning of petroleum products in both years are greater than 60 billion and engineered goods are the second most products that increase the earning.It earning in 2015 is around 55 billion and in 2016 its earning is around 61 billion.Gems and jewellery are nearly same in term of earning which is more than 40 billion.Agricultural products earning in both years are same which is around 30 to 31 billion.And lastly,textiles products has the most less earning in 2015 which is around 25 billion and in 2016 which is around 30 billion.
The petroleum products percentage increase 3% and engineered goods about 8.5%,textiles around 15.24% and agricultural products 0.81%.In contrast,the gems and jewellery depicts a decrease in percentage around 5.18%.
