The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar chart illustrates the value of one country's exports in different types from 2015 to 2016 while the table depicts the proportion change in each types of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
Overall, the bar chart shared that petroleum products was export most in 2016 and 2015 while tha table shows the proportion of textiles change the most in 2016 compared with 2015.
In terms of bar chart, petroleum and engineered goods are same in 2016 at about 62 billions where it was only 60 billions and 58 billions in 2015. Additionally, gems and jewellery and agricultural items are seemed same in both years as about around 40 billions and 30 billions. However, it was only 15 billions in terms ofg textiles exported in 2015 while it accounted above 30 millions in 2016.
Lokking more cloely at the table, by comparing between 2015 and 2016, only 0.81% of agricultural items, 3% of petroleum products, 5.18% of germs and jewellry items, and 8.5% enginered goods were exported while textiles was showed most at about 15.24%.
